All the texting in MAFS Australia season 13 is kind of giving Gossip Girl, or that meme of Hilary Duff saying “laugh out loud” as she bravely types on a brick Nokia. Either way, it’s not exactly giving a group of grown adults building healthy relationships. Even Love Is Blind has less texting drama than this — and those contestants don’t even meet face to face for two whole weeks. It’s giving The Circle meets Love Island, and honestly, we’re not a fan.
Gia and Scott were a great couple… until she pivoted from romance to girl feuds instead of focusing on the relationship in front of her. Not to mention Brook and Chris splitting, only for her to return later for one final showdown. At this point, we’re all wondering which MAFS Australia couples are actually still going strong. Definitely not Bec and Danny.
We were still reeling from what Bec said about Rachel at the couples’ retreat and the fallout that followed when a new drama rocked the experiment. Forget FingerbangGate, this is TextingGate, and it might just be worse. You be the judge.
What happened between Bec and Alissa on MAFS Australia?
At yet another dramatic Commitment Ceremony — can we pretend anyone is still here for love, maybe Stella and Filip? — it was revealed that Bec Zacharia had continued her crusade against Alissa in a series of "disgusting" text messages.
Threatening to expose them all, Gia claimed she had "receipts" on what Bec had been saying about the couple but had yet to reveal them.
And yes, we're supposed to believe Gia did this out of the goodness of her heart.
The screenshots were displayed and sent around the cast, and now we know exactly what was in them.
What has Alissa said about Bec's rude texts?
Reflecting on the situation, Alissa has explained that she believes the arguments weren’t really about her, but rather the ongoing feud between Bec and Gia.
Speaking to Australia’s TV Week, Alissa confessed: “Rachel got sucked into the middle of it between Bec and Gia.”
“I feel like if it’s not me, it’s got to be someone else. They’re always fighting each other but using a middleman. The more I think back on it, they always had a little pawn in the middle.”
In an interview with Nine, she said:
“There were heaps of messages from Gia in there that they weren’t nice either," she continued. "They’re pretty vulgar, she was calling me a rat as well, and she was saying she doesn’t f*ck with people like me. She said I’m not relatable to anyone in Australia and that they’ll see that, and she’s just trying to drag me down, just jealousy, nasty, nasty comments.”
However, Alissa did clarify that “no one could top” what Bec wrote about her. “No one could have topped what Bec said, like Gia wouldn’t even top what Bec said. I’m sorry that you just don’t put that sh*t in a message.”
“There’s always this bloody middleman bullshit going on between Bec and Gia, their war, and they like to drag people into it, and [the screenshots] was just a way of Gia to get back at Bec.”
Their wedding day wasn't exactly marital bliss

What was in the texts Bec wrote about Alissa and David?
In the show, we see David and Alissa react to Bec’s texts, within which she calls them a “rat” and uses several other inflammatory terms.
Sitting in bed together, the couple are clearly shocked by what they’ve seen, with Alissa saying: “I'm actually pretty dumbfounded. I thought there were going to be some nasty messages but not that sort of language.”
Shaking his head, David simply says, "Disgusting words. Sickening."
So what was actually in Bec’s texts with Gia? Buckle up, because this is genuinely difficult to read.
In the messages, you can see Bec wrote, “Alissa is going fcking down – rat b*tch with her rat husband.”
Elsewhere in the messages, Bec also said, "You know what? Alissa probably isn't a bad girl, but her head is so far up her f*cking assh*le she doesn't even realise what a c*nt she actually is."
Gia also joined in calling Alissa a rat and claiming David is “fake.” Bec also writes, "The only fake fcks in this place are those two c*cklicking Christian influencer wannabe c*nts."
Brook claims David “stood there holding his Andrew Tate hands.”
What has Bec said about the text message screenshots?
Speaking on Instagram Live with 2025 bride Awhina, Bec claimed: “Juliette and Gia sent [the screenshots] to all of the media.”
"I'll tell you that what I wrote was deplorable without a doubt. I was reactionary. It came from a place of hurt and they were unacceptable," Bec admitted.
She continued, "Alissa doesn't deserve what I said about her, she's a beautiful person."
Bec said that sending those messages is a "huge regret" of hers, adding: "But it happened, they're there, they're out and there's nothing I can do about it."
She added that she had more screenshots that she could share that would make the other brides look bad but said she won’t share them because it would hurt Alissa further.
At this point, we need to go touch some grass after this one.
