Zendaya and Robert Pattinson could never — because the Drama between Bec and Danny in this season of MAFS Australia has truly been a thing to behold.
In fact, the drama between a lot of the MAFS couples has been off the charts. From the rather red pill-coded terminology that reared its head between Steph and Tyson to the moment Scott slammed his wedding band down on the table during a dinner party, this season has been filled to the brim with gasp-worthy moments.
However, it's safe to say that Bec and Danny are strong contenders for most shocking duo of the year. For us Brits, this season is still just mid-way through airing — however, over in Australia, the season has already wrapped. Not to give away too much, but apparently, this pair are headed for a truly unforgettable final vows.
Here's what we know about what comes next for Bec and Danny — and whether they chose to stay together after the cameras stopped rolling.
Their wedding day wasn't exactly marital bliss
What has happened between Bec and Danny so far in MAFS?
Bec and Danny got off to a shaky start, with Danny making a joke about being bailed out of prison. Bec began to be worried that Danny was interested in other women during the honeymoon and her worries seemed to be confirmed when Danny later said Gia, another bride, was more his type. They kept persevering with their relationship, however, and after a “secret getaway,” Bec seemed to be head over heels for Danny.
Yet she kept getting involved with other brides' relationships, including that comment Bec made to Rachel.
Do Bec and Danny make it to final vows?
Yes, Bec and Danny are one of the final four pairs who make it all the way to final vows this season. And believe us when we say, it's a truly wild moment for the pair.
During their final speeches, Bec concluded that she want to remain with Danny after the experiment.
“Daniel, you’re my best friend, my safe space, you make me a better person and you lift me up when I’m down. You’re the kind of man everyone wants in their corner,” she said, before finishing up: “Today, standing here, I’m choosing you and I promise to choose you every day from here on out.”
Things then took a turn when Danny tried to gently let Bec down, telling her he loves her only “as a friend.”
“When I think of bringing kids into the world, I want to bring kids into a stable relationship and a stable loving home,” he said. “As much as it breaks my heart to say this, I felt a weight come off my shoulders, at a time when I should’ve been missing you.”
He went on, “I believe you can have multiple soul mates in life – some who are your best friends and some who are your lovers. Bec, I believe you’re my soulmate as a friend, but I’ve come to realise there’s doubt in my mind if you are my soulmate as a lover.”
It doesn't get more brutal than that. “I flew home that same day because I couldn’t be in Sydney anymore, and I didn’t get out of my bed for five days," Bec later told Nine.
Are Bec and Danny still together?
It's safe to say, no, Bec and Danny are no longer together after that devastating final vows break up. There was, however, more drama between the pair at the reunion, when it turned out that Danny had secretly been messaging Steph, another bride on the show.
After a very tense reunion dinner party, Danny declared that he wouldn't be coming to the reunion commitment ceremony with the experts.
"Him not coming shows who he is, which is deceitful," Bec said. "He doesn't have any respect for me because, to allow me to have to go and sit on that couch alone after everything we've been through together, and everything you've done to me and making me believe in this lie, is spineless. He talks about being a man all the time, but his actions were that of a mouse."
Danny did deign to send in a video interview, during which he stated that "the future without Bec would be bright" and that “after [MAFS] there's gonna be women queuing up for me.”
