Time flies when you're a MAFS Australia star. One minute you're signing up to get Married At First Sight to an incompatible stranger, the next you're moving in with another one-time Aussie reality TV star from a totally different show. Well, at least that's the case for Gia Fleur, the disability support worker who became a central character on the latest season of MAFS down under.

Fans of the show may remember that Fleur's time on screen wasn't exactly smooth sailing. Though her match with business owner Scott McCristal initially seemed to have “power couple” potential, their relationship soon deteriorated throughout the experiment, with many viewers blaming Fleur for her tendency to start drama. Suffice to say, they didn't make it to the final vow ceremony.

But as they say, there's plenty more fish in the sea. In the past few weeks, Fleur has hard-launched her new partner, Alan Wallace, and if her Instagram posts are anything to go by, the pair are totally head-over-heels. “No revenge. I got the love story of my dreams,” reads the caption on one canoodling Reels video. After keeping their relationship secret for three months, the couples' feeds are now full of snippets of their whirlwind romance – including a peek at new tattoos of each other's names.

So yes, it's pretty serious. And yes, we have all the details. Here's everything you need to know about Fleur's new boyfriend and her time on MAFS.

Who is Alan Wallace, Gia Fleur's new boyfriend?

Drumroll please… Gia Fleur's new partner is Alan Wallace, an electrician from Melbourne who used to be a semi-professional Australian Football League player. His face looks familiar, you say? You might have already seen him on Love Triangle, another Aussie reality show that deals with matters of the hearts.

Since coupling up, Fleur and Wallace's relationship has moved at lightning speed. They've already moved in together and Wallace is even stepping up when it comes to her nine-year-old daughter. “My whole family love him. I love his parents and his brother,” said Fleur in a recent interview. “I feel safe, so I don't wanna run away. He makes me feel reassured and loved and compliments me all the time and tells me he loves me. I'd never got that before.”

The relationship is so perfect that it even makes her tumultuous time on MAFS worth it. “I would do MAFS all over again to have met Alan.”

How did Gia Fleur and Alan Wallace meet?

On MAFS, would you believe it? Although not thanks to the experiments, couple-matching efforts. The pair actually first crossed paths while Fleur was on a self-confessed mission to “dig up some dirt on Scott". Wallace had apparently dated on of McCristal's exes, which made him a prime candidate for spilling tea. That was the full extent of their relationship for a while, until Fleur decided to eventually DM Wallace again. “We were just talking – just friendly,” she said. “But then when I came off the show, it progressed to something a bit more.”

The real turning point, however, was when they met IRL at an event. “He was with another girl and I was just jealous. I was following him around saying to my friends, 'What's he doing now? Who's he talking to?'” she said. “It was an immediate thing. As soon as I saw Alan I was like, what the hell? There was just something – undeniable. He felt it as well.” With no time to waste, Fleur made a move there and then, going in for a kiss before the end of the night. “'I was like, no, you need to come with me.' And that was it. We've been pretty much inseparable since then.”

What happened between Gia Fleur and Scott McCristal on MAFS Australia?

A lot. Despite their initial chemistry, the couple yo-yoed throughout the season, hitting such extreme lows that they actually left the show multiple times. The pivotal moment in their downfall seems to have been the pair's homestay at McCristal's flat on the Gold Coast, where the show's edit showed Fleur constantly digging at her new husband and his home. According to McCristal, what was shown was just the tip of the iceberg: “She pointed out a lot more when the cameras weren't there. When someone tries to degrade you like that it makes you feel pretty shit to be honest.”

Fleur's defence? The show's producers were encouraging her to start drama. “I think people watch it and think, ‘Oh my God, she’s stirring the pot, she’s drama,’” she said. “You don’t know behind the scenes how much we get told to do that and how much our love story isn’t that important and how much we need to suppress that and just stir shit.” In fact, she went as far to insinuate that their relationship could have worked out if it weren't for the cameras. “This experiment is like Drama at First Sight. It’s not Married at First Sight. It’s not find someone for you,” she continued. "I feel like I came here for that. And I feel like I found that with Scott. [But] it’s just a constant, what can we do to break our vibe?”

Has Scott McCristal moved on too?

Yep! Following Fleur's relationship hard-launch, McCristal has matched her energy with a post revealing his new girlfriend, Brienna Stockdale. A fitness influencer and aesthetics practitioner from the Gold Coast, the pair seem to be a perfect match.
