Cat Hufton

Freelance Shopping Writer

Cat Hufton is a freelance lifestyle journalist who has been contributing to Glamour since 2023. Cat has 18 years of experience in the fashion and beauty industry, beginning her career as an editor at Net-a-Porter and MATCHES FASHION. This experience gave her an in-depth knowledge of luxury brands and up-and-coming designers, not to mention a discerning eye for what really stands out about a product and whether it’s worthy of investment or not.

Cat has been freelance for nearly a decade which led her to widen her scope into beauty and skincare, health and wellbeing, and parenting and travel, in addition to her specialised knowledge of fashion. During this time Cat has written extensively for several British and American publications including the Telegraph, Byrdie, WWD, Footwear News, the Independent, Good Housekeeping, Elle, and Grazia. Career highlights have included interviewing musicians such as Self Esteem and Pixie Lott, British Olympian Bianca Williams and social campaigners and influencers such as Anna Whitehouse and Tally Rye.

Cat is also a mum to two boys, and she cites motherhood as the driving force behind her love of health and wellbeing. After struggling to feel like herself again after multiple rounds of IVF and welcoming her second baby, she spent a lot of time researching supplementation and how small lifestyle changes can make a big difference. As such, nutrition, hot yoga, Pilates and strength training are some of her favourite hobbies. She is also studying for a Level 3 diploma in reflexology to further her knowledge in complementary therapy and wellbeing.

In her spare time, Cat also loves catching up on the latest TV shows and co-hosts the ‘But in Reality’ podcast on entertainment and pop culture. She also has a Substack dedicated to working parents called The Freelance Parent.
