Hailing from laid-back, sunny California, Vuori was born after founder Joe Kudla spotted a gap in the market for minimalist gym clothes, free from conspicuous logos and fussy details. He wanted to create a line of premium performance apparel that broke the boundaries of traditional activewear, offering both performance and style. And that he has done.
Unlike many other workout brands that choose in-your-face, loud prints and impossible-to-miss branding, Vuori has a much more paired-back approach. The brand's jogging bottoms offer a chilled, sporty-slouch vibe (and are wear-all-day comfy), while the leggings come in black, ‘oregano’ green, ‘ink’ navy and various shades of heather. In fact, the entire brand's colour palette is rather muted. And they're so damn flattering.
Their halo performance crop tops, with built-in bras, are cool without being 'show-offy' (I’ve been wearing the simple mindset bra for yoga for the past few weeks and I keep on getting asked where it’s from), and their swimwear line cements Vuori as one of the our favourite swimwear brands of the season.
Yep, to coincide with the brands launch in the UK, Vuori have also launched a new sporty swimwear line, where each of the pieces – from the more traditional bikini cuts to modest swimwear, long sleeve swimsuits and one-piece swimsuits – are crafted from recycled materials. We're particular fans of the bright ‘grapefruit’ orange hue – perfect for SS22.
