23 best bikinis to soak up the sun this spring/summer
Featured in this article
Unlike seasonal wardrobe favourites like puffer jackets and fleece-lined leggings, the best bikinis are something we need throughout the year. Because if we're not soaking up the sun rays in our local park during the summer months, then we're jetting off to some far-flung destination and catching a tan there instead, right?
That said, the search for new-in bikini sets is never more prevalent than at the pinnacle of spring. I.e. right now. And when you plan to be in and out of the water, coated in layers of SPF, you need to have a good roster of them at your beck and call. Those years-old, half-disintegrated styles simply won't survive another season. Sorry.
Best bikini brands 2026
- Best for sale bikinis: Boux Avenue
- Best for bikinis for big busts: Pour Moi
- Best for triangle bikinis: Triangl
- Best underwired bikinis: Monday Swimwear
- Best bikinis for small boobs: H&M
No matter if you're jetting off to climes that are altogether more sunny (and staying at one of the best hotels in Mallorca, the Maldives or on the Amalfi Coast), or you've decided to treat yourself to a weekend break at a quaint spa hotel in the Cotswolds, a new bikini calls. When it comes to sourcing the 'best' bikinis there's a lengthy list of factors to consider, and after swathes of swim and resortwear silhouettes walked the SS26 Fashion Week runways (we're looking at your Chanel Cruise and Christopher Esber), we're taking it seriously.
Firstly, you'll want to understand which are the best swimwear brands? Hunza G still reigns supreme as a fashion fan favourite while newer labels like Monday Swim and Away That Day continue to rise up the ranks. Then, you've got to select a shape: strapless, balconette, plunge or a trusty triangle are just a handful of popular styles. And, of course, there's colour, of which there's no shortage of summer-ready shades.
Yet, to save you the scrolling — few things dampen holiday excitement like having to return every single item you've just bought, after all — we've done the legwork for you. Below, the best bikinis to see you through this summer and beyond. All that's left to do is grab your beach towels, sunglasses and beach cover-ups and get that holiday booked. Bon voyage!

Without further ado, here are the best bikinis to add to your swimwear collection in 2026.
How we tested the best bikinis
We love travelling to sunny destinations as much as the next person, so owning a good bikini is as vital as a passport to us. As a team of 30 people (all of different shapes, heights, ethnicities, sizes, and statures), we've tried hundreds of swim styles from equally as many brands, so we like to think we know what we're talking about. From the way something fits to the materials it was made from, we take everything into consideration and genuinely wouldn't include it if we didn't think it was worth your £.
The above styles are all new-in for 2026, so we haven't had the chance to give them a proper road test (i.e. wear them at least three times and see how they wash). However, they are from brands we've each tried, tested and have loved in the past – so we've no doubt about their performance. We're currently trialing some as we speak, so we'll report back with a verdict and full low-down as soon as we can. Read more about how we test and pick everything here.
Why you can trust me
I've been a fashion writer for over five years now, and have worked in the retail industry for more than 10. I know good-quality when I see it (at the various press days I attend) and feel it (I used to hand-select products from a photography studio before writing the copy about them in a previous job). Swimwear isn't the most sustainable, but where possible I've included a few bikinis that are crafted with recycled fabrics or materials which I know from experience last the longest. Aesthetics-wise; I've picked colours, patterns and cuts which I've seen on the runways this year myself.
