It goes without saying: H&M swimwear is really good if you don't want to spend a bomb (but would quite like to appear as though you absolutely have). While their styles may not last for quite as many summers as something from a designer swimwear brand would, they will make you feel a million dollars. And everything is bang on trend. This season, you'll find us in their metal-detail bikini and ruffle-trim tummy control swimsuit.

3. Free People
Free People's swimwear offering is always great, but for SS26? They've really outdone themselves. Think: styles cut with flatteringly high legs, innovative fabrics (including towelling and terry) and romantically printed two-piece bikini sets.
4. Lounge
Not just one of the best lingerie brands, Lounge is also a top contender for swimwear. Catering to proper bra sizes for the perfect fit, each Lounge Swim piece is sold separately to allow you to pick your own colour story to debut poolside. They have underwired, wire-free and padded cups, as well as bikini and thong bikini bottoms.
5. SKIMS
This summer, the sell-out swimwear collection that is SKIMS SWIM is back and arguably better than ever thanks to an impeccable size range. SKIMS Swim has been one of SKIMS most explosive categories since their launch, with over 500k all time waitlist signups for SKIMS swim and thousands of 5-star reviews on various styles.

No edit of the best swimwear brands would be complete without a mention of the backbone of every British high street: Marks & Spencer. We can safely assume most women in the UK own at least one M&S bra, pair of the best period pants, bikini or swimsuit for good reason. Whether you're after a shaping swimsuit, a supportive halter bikini or a scoop-neck cut, your every need is covered here. & Other Stories is always one of our first ports of call when it comes to finding floral summer dresses, puff sleeve tops, midi skirts and cute bikinis on the high street. This season, find metallic bikinis, designer-inspired monochrome prints, romantic ruffles and retro-tinged polka dots.
9. Hunza G
Editor approved: Georgia Trodd, Senior Commerce Writer, Fiona Embleton, Associate Beauty Director & Katie Leirey, Senior SEO Manager.
Founded back in the 80s, Hunza G shot to fame when they launched that cutout mini dress Julia Roberts stepped out in in Pretty Woman. 30 years later, it was relaunched under the creative direction of Georgiana Huddart, with high-waisted bikinis and bathing suits the stars of the show: all cut from the same figure-sculpting seersucker fabric. Their styles – which claim to fit all body types (one-size-fits-all) thanks to the aforementioned signature and stretchy crinkle fabric they're crafted from – are available in a plethora of bright colours and simple silhouettes.

10. Away That Day
Editor approved: Georgia Trodd, Senior Commerce Writer.
Founded in London in 2019, Away That Day's purpose is to create stylish, high-quality and as eco-friendly as possible beachwear for women. For them, sustainability doesn't need to compromise ‘sexy’. Their pieces champion the female form, with bikinis and one-piece suits cut to flatter a variety of shapes and sizes. They've just released a collection in collab with Daisy London (one of the best jewellery brands) which is DREAMY but guaranteed to sell out quick. See the iconic Cannes one piece below.
11. Norma Kamali
Norma Kamali has more than half a century worth of experience in the fashion industry, and her swimwear range mirrors the neon hues and playful prints that we've come to adore in her main ready-to-wear collections. Their bestseller? That'd be the Mio swimsuit: a favourite among brides-to-be in the all-white hue.
12. Monday Swimwear
A swimwear brand that was relatively under the radar for me until recently is Monday Swimwear. I spotted it on several Love Island contestants, and have been obsessed ever since. The fit, colours, and fabrication of each piece are so well done
13. New Look
If it's swimwear you'll look great and feel fantastic in that you're seeking, but you don't want to break the bank, look no further than New Look. You can pick up a set for less than £30, but the best part is that you buy each piece separately – so you can mix and match or opt for differing sizes. Let's face it, it's rare to be the same size top as you are on the bottom.
14. Solid & Striped
You get what it says on the tin with Solid & Striped: a choice of both plain and printed one-pieces and the best bikinis (of exceptional quality). We're particular fans of their new-in ditsy and romantic prints – they have us dreaming of sunny picnics.
15. Lisa Marie Fernandez
Lisa Marie Fernandez swimwear will ensure you holiday in ultimate style in 2026, with designs that fit like a glove. Shout-out to the bonded stretch fabrics, tie waistbands and V-neck cuts.

16. Faithfull the Brand
Faithfull the Brand launched back in 2012, and while they quickly became known and loved for their epic, feminine summer dresses, their swimwear should not be dismissed. The brand works closely with artisans in Bali and places a strong focus on sustainability and conscious practises, meaning you can kick back in their handcrafted swimwear guilt-free. Expect bold prints and feminine tie details.
17. Frankies Bikinis
Loved by Hailey Bieber and Gigi Hadid, Frankies Bikinis is a Californian swimwear brand that champions colour, Y2K-inspired pattern and playful silhouettes. Make a beeline for all the Malibu-cool vibes, crochet styles, and that ‘Gemma One Piece’ in 'pink punch' (which sold out instantly in 2022 after it was worn by Cassie in Euphoria, before racking-up a 500-person waitlist. No biggie).
18. Zimmermann
Editor approved: Nikoo Hamzavi, Acting Commerce Photo Editor.
Designed to evoke wanderlust, Zimmermann's capsule collection of luxe bohemian beachwear contains everything you need for the dreamiest beach wardrobe. The bikini below has an irresistible sweetness to it, finished with floral details to the ties and gold hardware accents.
19. Seafolly
Born on the shores of Sydney, Seafolly is a GLAMOUR-favourite swimwear brand, stocking everything from sporty surf suits and bold bikinis to colourful cover-ups and cossies/swimsuits adorned in illustrated prints. In search of a brighter future, Seafolly is committed to progressively transitioning all their products to more sustainable fabrics. Their latest collections have been crafted using 60% regenerated materials, diverting waste from landfills and our oceans.
20. Triangl Swim
Influencer-famous Australian brand Triangl was co-founded by Craig Ellis back in 2012 with the aim of creating high-quality swimwear that was not only on-trend but affordable. Best known for their neon, neoprene string bikinis and triangle bikini tops – though also stocking terry towelling, ribbed, sparkle lurex and velvet designs – the brand allows you to mix and match cuts, colours and textures to create a statement swimwear look wherever you're headed.
21. Speedo
Editor approved: Louisa Bryant, Associate Visuals Editor, Katie Leirey, Senior SEO Manager & Emma Clarke, Acting Senior Manager Audience Development.
It's the swimwear brand you'll have been familiar with since your childhood swimming lessons – and it's just as reliable and high-performing now as it was back then. It was founded in 1928 in Australia, when the founder presented the world's first non-wool suit. Today, its range features activewear swimwear that works hard and looks good, in a range of colours, cuts and patterns to suit you. Oh, and more Olympic Gold Medals have been won in Speedo than any other brand – so if it's good enough for top athletes…
How I tested the best swimwear brands
Taking things like sustainability, fit, cost and style into consideration, I have compiled a list of what I believe to be the best swimwear brands for 2026. They're the labels myself or another member of the Glamour team shop at the most (you'll see ‘editor approved’ next to the ones we really love), with some silhouettes being ones that we've actually bought and worn over a period of time too.
I got everyone to test them in and out of water – from chlorine pools to fresh water lakes as well as salt water – wash them, and sunbathe in them. Every brand in this list is one that past the test, and although you won't see them modelled on our bodies, you will see videos and photos of our most favourited designs. Read more about how we test here.
Why you can trust me
It goes without saying that I'm just one woman (I'm just a girl!) and while I've absolutely tested most of these swimwear brands, I can't pass fair judgement on all of them. That's why I roped in my coworkers, because as a team of 20+, we all have varying tastes and requirements. What one of us absolutely loves, the other might hate – and honestly is of the upmost importance.
That's why you'll find a broad range of labels; from on-trend swimwear brands to practical ones and everything in between. It's important that women have strong foundations in their wardrobes, and swimwear is arguably just as fundamental as lingerie. If you're uncomfortable in your cozzies, chances are it'll ruin your vacay mood – if you're anything like us that is. The swimwear brands we've recommended above are all ones we love and rate, because we don't gatekeep here; every body deserves to look and feel good with size-inclusive/comfortable/flattering styles.
