9 best plus-size activewear brands to wear in 2025 and beyond
It's 2025 and looking for the best plus size activewear may or may not have crossed your mind. I personally love a big Sunday walk or an outdoor swim, a cold plunge dip, park strolls with the dog, intimate sound bath sessions and a bit of yoga here or there.
I look forward to moving my body in ways that I enjoy and even discovering new ones, so if you're in the same mindset and you're in need of a wardrobe update, I've found some of the best size-inclusive, functional and most importantly comfortable activewear brands for plus size women, that will not only have a great fit, but also make you feel confident and powerful.
We've come along way in the curve industry (remember when the best leggings and sports bras were only available in black and nude?), and I'm excited about the amount of labels currently offering extended sizes. The Nike Store Mannequin was a real moment back in 2019 (though TBH, we really should have had some more major inclusive instances since), and since that we've had more and more brands finally wake up to the fact plus-size bodies deserve movement as much as everyone else – and they deserve to have as much variety when it comes to styles, colours and shapes, too.
All that said, if you want to make change in yourself, especially this side of the New Year, please do it for yourself and not through the pressures of anyone else. As a plus size body, it's OK to say when we aren't feeling good about ourselves. We all go through body insecurities and that is completely normal, no one was born completely confident within themselves.
It doesn't help that toxic diet culture is rife, so make sure you are looking after yourself and listening to your own inner voice. You deserve it. With that, here are some of my top plus size activewear pieces that even Sporty Spice would most certainly be tempted by.
1. Adidas
Size range: up to size 4XL and 48E in sports bras.
For me, Adidas is the OG trend based sports brand. From the 90s till now we've seen everyone repping these iconic three stripes from RUN DMC to the latest collection with Liberty London. They are fun, playful and empowering. It's very exciting that their bold style has now been extended into their plus size offerings.
If you know me, you know I'm an Adidas stan. The brand has so many options for us, whether we are doing a high workout routine, long distance running, tennis, football or even if we're just looking for some elevated weekend away fits. I do find the clothing items run a little small, however, especially if the item isn't a stretchy material, so I would opt for sizing up.

2. Nike Plus
Size range: up to size up to a 4X.
Activewear used to be so boring for anyone with a large body. In comes the Nike Plus Size range, which not only uses visually plus models on site (10 points from me), but they are constantly dropping new, exciting pieces. This statement cosy bomber jacket below with the nod to the 90s is my personal favourite.
Personally I would recommend their sports bras; they are the ones I would wear to a dance class, knowing I would feel secure and comfortable, and most of them have padding so you don't have to worry about trying to rearrange everything every time you move. I know I'm not the only one that finds that frustrating in the changing room.

3. New Balance
Size range: up to size 3XL.
My two favourite things about New Balance is not only do they offer Women, Mens and Children's apparel but they also have a gender neutral section, topping off with their range of wide fit trainers to cater from X-Narrow to XX-Wide, something I often think most leisure brands don't often cater to. 10 points to New Balance.

4. Girlfriend Collective
Size range: up to size 6XL.
Fun colours, inclusive marketing campaigns, and featuring real plus size bodies with their bellies out on their social channels is why this brand is changing the game in the athleisure industry. They sell everything from staples such as gym leggings and cami tops, but also leotards, bodysuits and hoodies.
I really love so many pieces are available across so many sizes in so many colours. I'm not sure about you, but those leotards would be great for summer festivals too. Throw over an oversized shirt and some chic fashion trainers and you are good to go.
5. ASOS 4505
Size range: up to size UK 30.
This is ASOS offering of their own inclusive activewear line with performance fabrics, classic shapes and staples for the gym and more. Available in petite, maternity, hourglass, tall, main as well as plus size, this is a proper inclusive collection if you and all your friends were wanting the same look for any fun activities coming up this year.
Fashion and fitness go hand in hand with ASOS 4505. The Curve Icon boxy tee below not only looks effortlessly cool with its graphic print, it is also a heavyweight cotton with a quick dry finish off material. Great for when you are working out in the gym.

6. TALA
Size range: up to size 4X.
Sustainable and ethical sportswear which has inclusive sizing, diverse imagery on site and in a range of fun bubblegum colours for each season? Hell yeah. It has an easy to navigate site with 2X – 4X with it's own section. I've got my eye on some of the sculpting pieces for some long weekend getaways.
Most of Tala's range also has pockets, zips or linings that are convenient and well thought out for your workouts. An all round well invested in adding those extra touches brand.
7. Goodmove at Marks & Spencer
Size range: UK 6 - 24.
Goodmove is a high performance athleisure brand from Marks and Spencer. Everything from sweat-wicking fabrics to pure cotton pieces. It's not just the regular fitness wear they have here, they also do waterproof jackets for those who like to work out in the wet weather too (probably good for dog walking too) and coming from M&S we all know the quality is great.
8. Simply Be
Size range: up to size UK 32.
Simply Be in one of the UK's leading plus size clothing brands, with sizes ranging up to a UK 32. They have a huge range of brands on site to also choose from including Under Armour, Adidas, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger.
Working out doesn't need to be boring, leopard print matching sets for the gym? Yes please. Cue Shania Twain (or Rod Stewart) on the playlist. I'm also very into the long sleeve tops with thumb holes too – maybe it's a comfort thing, but it makes me feel like I can take on the next workout class with ease.

9. Savage X Fenty
Size range: up to size 5XL.
RI-RI knows what she is doing with Savage X Fenty. Not only has she created an inclusive enterprise of empowering lingerie and loungewear, but also has created some very impressive activewear. Plus-size humans want access to next level pieces and she has created just that with her sportswear pieces. Sports bras with mesh details, glitter luxe cycling shorts with sexy cut-out details and sculpting one pieces that you can wear to yoga and even styled up and worn to the club.
Again, similar to Girlfriend Collection, there are so many versatile pieces that don't just have to be worn in the gym.
