Spoilers ahead for Beef season 2.
Honestly, we didn't know where Beef could go after that wild ride of a first season. Amy (Ali Wong) and Danny (Steven Yeun) had us hooked in their road rage turned life-ruining feud. This time, we're returning for a doubles match, looking at the generational differences in relationships.
Alongside tainted orange juice and coyote fights, Beef season 2 can boast of a star-studded cast. It's the Avengers Infinity War of celebrities. We've got our Gen Z couple, Austin (Charles Melton) and Ashley (Cailee Spaeny). Our Millennial couple, Josh (Oscar Isaac) and Lindsay (Carey Mulligan). It's already shaping up to be an award show dream team, but then there are the celebrity cameos. Here are all the celebrities featured in Beef season 2, including when you'll spot them.
Scored by Finneas O'Connell, season 2 of the hit Netflix series also features drum and bass classics, modern pop anthems and alt indie tunes.

What are all the celebrity cameos in Beef?
It’s Mr Selena Gomez himself — in the flesh! Honestly, I had to pause my screen to double-check what I was seeing. In episode two of Beef season two, we’re treated to a seriously starry lineup. Josh attends a members-only poker game, and the guest list is… unexpected, to say the least.
Among the crowd? None other than Benny Blanco, cracking jokes with that signature grin. Blanco, a hitmaking record producer, has previously collaborated with heavyweights including Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber and Lil Dicky — and yes, he’s now married to Gomez, which only makes the cameo feel even more surreal.
Right next to Benny Blanco, we’ve got Baron Davis. The former NBA point guard — now a television host and sports analyst — makes a surprise appearance at the table, offering Josh some unexpectedly sage words of wisdom before casually joining in on the poker game.
Sitting slightly apart from the group is Michael Phelps, who ends up having one of the most memorable moments in the entire poker scene. Portrayed as coolly standoffish, he subtly goads Josh into betting a truly ridiculous amount, and of course, makes sure he’s the one collecting at the end.
Let’s be real: Phelps definitely doesn’t need that $10K as much as Josh does, but something tells us he’ll still be requesting it on Venmo immediately. A new acting era for the Olympic champion swimmer? Honestly… we wouldn’t rule it out.
So, this isn’t quite a cameo, but given how small the role is, it’s still worth a mention. Eduardo Franco — the actor and comedian you’ll recognise from Stranger Things and The Binge — pops up as an employee at the dog shelter in episode five.
He’s convinced he’s found Burberry… except it’s very much just another dachshund, which he then expertly guilts them into adopting anyway.
While Lindsay continues the search for Burberry, Josh heads off to party. Troy whisks him away on a private jet to his chalet, where he’s arranged for his favourite band, Hot Chip, to perform.
And in case you’re wondering: yes, they’re very real. Hot Chip are an English synth-pop band with a seriously devoted following. Even better, Josh doesn’t just watch — as a passionate musician, he actually gets to join in and play with them. Not a bad side quest, all things considered.
This is a little cheeky, as Childish Gambino — the musical alter ego of actor and creator Donald Glover — is name-checked a few times in episode five of Beef.
He apparently reshares Lindsay’s Instagram post about Burberry going missing, and several people bring this up.
Another Olympic athlete joins the ever-growing universe of Beef season 2. In episode six, Austin is in his new role in the fitness centre when Josh walks in with Suni Lee, the 2020 Olympic all-around gold medallist.
She speaks to Josh about needing help with ongoing knee issues, while he is, quite frankly, visibly clueless and terrified of accidentally injuring an Olympic champion on his watch. It’s the kind of second-hand anxiety that makes you sit up straighter on your sofa.
Honestly… did Beef have a brand deal with elite sport at this point? Because the number of world-class athletes casually appearing in Josh’s orbit is starting to feel a little suspicious.
Last but not least, we’ve got Finneas. The musician, best known for his work with his sister Billie Eilish as well as his solo career, appears in the fitness centre hard at work, naturally soundtracked by Bad Guy by Billie Eilish.
He also gets a surprising amount of screen time and dialogue, casually mentioning that Billie didn’t particularly like Lindsay, before neatly setting Josh up with his bassist. Finneas is also responsible for the Beef season 2 soundtrack, making his pop up all the better!
Who is Woosh really? Who goes to jail? Who ends up together?!

Now, I need to go find someone to discuss that Beef season 2 ending with. Heartbreak, coyotes, and orange juice. Wow. Not to mention how Chairwoman Park and Woosh are related.
Beef season 2 is streaming on Netflix.
