Warning: spoilers for Beef season 2 ahead!
Did you catch that Woosh reveal in episode six?
The much-anticipated follow-up, Beef season 2, is packed with shocking twists and unexpected betrayals. Like… did anyone see Ashley jumping out of that car? Because we absolutely didn’t. We also needed a full Beef ending explainer after episode eight just to untangle the chaos. Not to mention the Beef season 2 soundtrack accompanying it all.
Beef season 2 takes the feud-driven concept and centres it on two couples: Josh (Oscar Isaac) and Lindsay (Carey Mulligan), alongside Austin (Charles Melton) and Ashley (Cailee Spaeny). It also introduces a string of scene-stealing characters, including Chairwoman Park (Youn Yuh-jung) and Woosh (Matthew Kim). Their presence adds another layer of intrigue, with viewers struggling to figure out how — or if — they’re connected.
In case you missed it (or weren’t glued to the subtitles during the Korean dialogue), here’s the truth about Woosh’s identity in Beef season 2.
Who is Woosh in Beef?
Woosh is played by musician BM, an American rapper, songwriter, and composer based in South Korea. He’s best known as a member of the K-pop group KARD, and made his solo debut in 2021 with the single Broken Me. Beef marks his first acting role.
We first meet Woosh in episode one of Beef season 2, as one of the new employees brought into the golf club following its acquisition by Chairwoman Park. Woosh works as a tennis instructor at the resort, but is also quietly trying to sell Trochos cosmetic procedures on the side for a hefty commission. His main strategy? Flirting with the wives of wealthy golfers in order to pitch them surgeries.
When Lindsay questions whether Chairwoman Park actually allows this, Woosh insists she is fully aware — a revelation that immediately raises eyebrows and makes us question the true nature of their relationship.
Later, when it’s decided that club employees will actively sell Trochos treatments to help cover up medical malpractice, Chairwoman Park notes that Woosh will not be pleased. Surprisingly, she seems to care about his reaction, adding yet another layer of intrigue to their dynamic.
Olympic athletes, musicians and a very famous spouse.

So, how do Woosh and Chairwoman Park really know each other? Because it’s clear from the start that this isn’t just a standard boss-and-employee dynamic. Is she sleeping with him? Is he her son? Let’s just say, we definitely didn’t guess this arrangement.
In episode six, Woosh discovers the falsified invoices Josh has been signing under Chairwoman Park’s orders, using golf club funds to pay off journalists and staff in an attempt to cover up Dr Kim’s patient death in episode three. Already frustrated at having his Trochos commission undermined by other employees competing for sales, Woosh decides to escalate things and blackmail Chairwoman Park.
Alone in her bedroom, he calmly lays out what he’s found, including the fact that reporters have already been in contact. He then suggests, in a not-so-subtle power move, that he be made vice president of the PK Group.
Chairwoman Park remains composed, even asking him to help fasten her necklace. She comments on his father’s taste in women and how he ultimately left her, before noting that while Woosh resembles his father physically, he reminds her more of his mother. She then reflects on what might have happened if she and his father had never separated. Woosh dryly responds that he wouldn’t have been born.
She fires back that, in that case, he also wouldn’t be in line to become vice president of the PK Group, effectively confirming his new role.
So, Woosh is the son of Chairwoman Park’s ex-husband and his new partner. He was born after the divorce and is not the result of an affair, nor is there any romantic or sexual relationship between him and Chairwoman Park. Whether this is an act of generosity, a long game tied to his father, or something more strategic and calculated remains unclear.
Who is Woosh really? Who goes to jail? Who ends up together?!

What happened to Woosh in Beef?
Woosh leaves Chairwoman Park’s house in triumphant spirits, having secured exactly what he wanted. But in a sudden and shocking turn, he is struck by a speeding vehicle — a clear hit-and-run, with the driver not stopping to check whether he’s alive.
In the following episode, we see Chairwoman Park making arrangements for his funeral, even debating whether to invite his grandmother, who we now know might be her former mother-in-law.
Meanwhile, Chairwoman Park’s assistant Eunice (Seoyeon Jang) grows increasingly suspicious about the circumstances surrounding Woosh’s death. She begins to suspect her boss may have been involved, and quietly shares her fears with Austin, worried that speaking out could put her own life at risk.
What a ride. And did you spot those celeb cameos in Beef along the way?
