11 things you didn't know about Donald Glover
Donald Glover made history this week when he became the first black man to win the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series awards at the 2017 TV Emmys, and rightly so.
The 33-year-old star is known for a number of his talents. He's a critically acclaimed screenwriter, a director, an actor, a DJ and a Grammy nominated rapper - Yes, really. He exceeds the triple threat and it seems he can pretty much do anything.

As well as having an established career as an actor and director, Glover is also respected in the music industry as a rapper under the name Childish Gambino - a name he got from an online Wu-Tang clan name generator. He released his first mixtape titled Sick Boi in 2008 and a couple of others followed before his debut album Camp dropped in 2011. He spent the rest of the year and the beginning of 2012 touring and establishing himself within the industry.

In 2013, he released his second album Because The Internet which included hits like '3005' and 'IV. Sweatpants'. It also featured collaborations with the likes of Chance The Rapper, Jhene Aiko and Azealia Banks and resulted in a top ten chart placement, a gold record and a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album in 2015. Not too shabby!

Fans of both Glover and Chance The Rapper have been pushing the idea of the two collaborating on a Watch the Throne style mixtape ever since their first track together back in 2012 titled 'They Don't Like Me'. Their following collabs on Glover's Because The Internet and Chance's 2013 mixtape Acid Rap excited fans even more and at this year's Emmy awards, Glover pretty much confirmed that a mixtape is coming.
“I feel like if I don’t make a Chance The Rapper mixtape, like double mixtape, a bunch of 14-year-olds are gonna kick my ass," he said. "They stop me on the street and it’s kinda scary so I think I gotta do something and probably will."
