The high-waisted bikini is this season’s swimwear star so we've found 15 flattering high-waisted styles that will work wherever you’re heading for summer
Right now it doesn’t feel like summer will ever arrive (come on, sunshine!) Although we are beyond relieved some holidays have now been given the green light, when you finally book that trip - whether that's a weekend break or something more exotic - we guarantee all the best bikinis will be sold out.
So, what’s the solution? We suggest you get busy and add to basket right now. Then you will have a lewk sorted for when the sun finally decides to come out in the UK or your overseas jaunt arrives.

The swimwear you should be thinking about for summer 2021? We do love a one-piece, but right now, the high waisted bikini rules the waves… the sand… the pool bar… and the park. Simultaneously sexy yet more modest than an itsy-bitsy string version, high-waisted bikinis call to mind retro glamour but are totally modern too, depending on the print you pick and the top style you choose.
Swimwear is one of the fashion categories that are taking sustainability seriously. Recycled fibres are making regular appearances in an array of established brands and new names to know. Evarae’s chocolate brown bikini is made from Econyl, a fibre made from regenerated waste which is also infinitely recyclable. ASOS has swimwear for literally every fashion taste but their mix and match polka dot bikini has recycled fibre content and is our choice.

If you’re planning on spending more time posing in your bikini, rather than in a pool, Norma Kamali has a super shiny holographic, iridescent bikini set and we also love Ganni’s glitter two-piece for the ultimate summer glamour. Self-Portrait’s off-the-shoulder style is just crying out for a margarita to set it off, too.
Once you’ve picked your high-waisted bikini, all you need to do is add a pair of sunglasses and a beach bag and wait for the sun!
