11 best slippers for women 2024, according to someone with seriously cold feet
The dependency I have on my slippers could be a dissertation topic. Seriously, I'm never not wearing them. The second I come home it's off with my winter boots/loafers/ballet pumps and straight into my warm, sheepskin-lined besties (UGG's Scuffette II, in case anyone's wondering).
Forget what you thought you knew, too: while autumn/winter makes the most sense in terms of when to invest in the best slippers, they're actually an all-year-round necessity. At least for those of us with constantly cold feet, anyway.
Think about it; we’re working from home and pottering down to the post office on our lunch breaks during every month of the year – and a comfy pair of slippers is the best way to tie our loungewear #lewks together. So, really, they're the most savvy sartorial purchase one can make.

The best slippers for women, at a glance:
- Best slippers overall: Women's Scuffette II Slipper, £90, UGG
- Most warm slippers: EMU Teddy Micro Boots, £140, Free People
- Best slippers to wear outside: Women's Tazz Slippers, £105, UGG
- Most affordable slippers: Boot Slippers, WERE £22 NOW £17.60, Boux Avenue
Good slippers aren't just for indoor pursuits, either. Some of these top picks are suitable (and stylish enough) for outdoor wear, too. Case in point: Brunello Cucinelli's tasseled shearling-lined suede design which would look just as good with a party dress as they would for a night on the sofa in your best pyjamas and dressing gown.
Of course, choosing between a pair of influencer-adored suede slippers, memory foam slippers, moccasin slippers, spa-like slippers or faux fur slippers is no mean feat, so, as someone with icicles for toes (as my fiancé so kindly puts it) I've compiled an edit of new-in pairs that deserve a spot on your Christmas list. Hopefully it’ll help you whittle things down.

Which brand has the most comfortable slippers?
This is sort of down to personal preference, but really, anything with a cosy lining is sure to keep your feet comfy. Most people look to UGG because they're chic, well-known and have more solid soles making them somewhat appropriate to wear outside. However, other people prefer slipper socks that they can wear in bed as well as around the house.
Are memory foam slippers good for your feet?
Memory foam slippers are notoriously popular because they mould to your footbed and often lend a bit of arch support, too. It's not necessarily that they're ‘good’ for your feet, but they are extremely comfortable.
