27 best party dresses for 2025 events and beyond
Party dresses were a prevalent theme on the AW25 runways and, as we fast approach November and December (AKA party season itself), you're likely already thinking of what to wear to all those glitzy invites in your inbox.
From the festively scarlet hues spotted at McQueen, Valentino and Louis Vuitton, to the sculptural sensations of Iris Van Herpen and the frothy tulle looks at Givenchy and Christian Dior, eventwear is back and bigger than ever this year – and we couldn't be more thrilled. Glamour is our name, after all.

This year, we've put our best foot/frock forward and have been hard at work (no, seriously) testing four new-in party dresses before they start selling out. Although a lot of the party dresses in our edit are unashamedly Christmassy (with lots of reds, greens and metallics), they genuinely work year-round. So while you might be shopping for a sparkly new frock for your upcoming office Christmas party, keep in mind that you can very much re-wear it for things like New Year's Eve, birthdays, weddings, Firework Night and so on for year's to come.
So, which avenue to go down? Sequin dresses always feel right during party season. There's something wonderfully decadent about them and seeing that November/December are the months for all things sparkly, from over-the-top decorations to fairy lights, it's only right to match the vibe with what you wear. H&M's long sleeve mini dress is a wear-everywhere favourite while ARRANGE's textural sequin maxi dress is already a fashion pack fave.
Elsewhere, if you still want to look glam but are happy to let the disco balls steal the show, aforementioned fabrics like satin, tulle, lurex and velour are the way to go.
