If you’re bored of blue, feel black’s too wintery and aren’t ready for white - may we present the best green jeans as an alternative which will give your wardrobe a fresh feel for 2022 and beyond.

To be fair, we will never actually be bored of our classic blue jeans, whether straight, high waist, baggy or flared, and black jeans will always have a place in our wardrobe as the ultimate way to bring a bit of edge to denim-led *lewks*, however the best green jeans have been filtering into store and we've totally fallen for their retro charm.

Just a little heads-up: This trend isn’t as utilitarian as switching to khakis. 2022’s shade of the moment is fresh, zingy and nature-inspired. We’d describe these shades as granny smith green, emerald or grass green.

Because denim is such a universal fabric (beware, this does have some environmental repercussions) you can find a huge array of the best green jeans on the high street. Mango’s version has a high waist and super-wide legs. Zara has several versions (of course) with a smart straight style in mint looking freshest and a straight pair with a soft pastel wash are calling our name. River Island’s acid-washed lime pair have an on-trend asymmetric waistband and come in Curve sizes 18-28, too.
