I'm 6ft tall and these are the best tall jeans for women I've tried

If I can call myself an expert in anything, it's finding the best tall jeans.
Fellow tall gals know the struggle all too well: you find something cute while online shopping, you order it and try it on only to find that it looks like it was made for a child it's so short. Finding the best jeans for women that fit us is one of life's biggest trials (and don't even get me started on dresses, jumpsuits, playsuits, swimwear and skirts).
As if denim shopping wasn't difficult enough for the average-height person, it's 10 times worse for anyone over 5'8". I'm six feet tall, and I can honestly say I spend my life trawling the internet for the perfect pair of jeans morning, noon and night. Best believe that when I do find a pair that fits, I buy them in every colour.
When cropped mom jeans became chic, us leggy girls were in our element (essentially all our jeans are cropped, am I right?). Having said that, it’s nice to sometimes have the option of wearing something longer, like baggy jeans, flared jeans, straight leg jeans or high-waisted jeans that don’t look like cut-offs. Don’t get me wrong, a good ol’ ankle grazer is ideal for spotlighting some box-fresh white trainers or chunky dad sandals, but while everyone else gets to look like they’re wearing their boyfriend’s jeans, I look like I’m wearing a 12-year-old's.
I know I'm not the only tall person who feels let down when it comes to the variety of places that cater to us, either. It's different now they're online at ASOS, but when Topshop had stores, you could walk in and be greeted by a ginormous ‘Petite’ section but you'd be lucky if the ‘Tall’ area even existed – often it’d just be one rail and generally consisted of mismatched pieces that were obviously returns people had bought from the website.
High-street favourite Zara don’t specifically cater to taller ladies, and neither do H&M – it's just pot luck if you find something that fits or is labelled ‘full length’ – and designer brands barely accommodate for plus size jeans, let alone different heights.
The good news is that Instagram has brought about a flourish of influencers and bloggers who are all different shapes and sizes, including heights. Some of my go-to tall girls for inspiration when it comes to where to shop are Olivia Laura Turner, Zanna Vandijk, Tara Jade, Jacqueline Ilumoka and Ashley Battle. Even if they haven’t bought something that’s specifically labelled as ‘Tall’, it’s super handy to see how general pieces of clothing fit and look on them. That's why I've gone through the trouble of testing some myself, to provide other leggy ladies with a roster of denim approved by me. Read on for how I tested them and why you should trust me, or skip to the shopping…
Why you can trust me
I'm a size UK 12 and tend to need jeans that have at least a 34-inch inseam. I have a 30-inch waist and 40-inch hips, so not only am I fighting to find jeans that are long enough, but I've also got to contend with my pear-shaped frame. See my pain?
As someone who's worked in the fashion industry for eight years now, and has witnessed the comings and goings of brands/collections that cater to all body shapes and heights, it's important to me now more than ever to champion the brands that give everyone a seat at the table. It's why I commission plus size and petite writers to talk about their experiences, too, because in 2026 there really is no excuse to leave anyone out anymore.
How I tested the best tall jeans
The majority of the jeans you can see me wearing below graze the tops of my feet, which is how most denim should fit in my opinion unless you're going for a purposeful crop (which I was in some cases). I tried a variety of rises – from high to mid and even low – and took things like composition, colour variety, and cost into consideration. The jeans that met my criteria, i.e. fit at my waist and hips, didn't dig in anywhere and didn't look stupidly short, are the ones I've included. And yes, there are some ‘regular’ jeans in the mix, but as you can see, they work.
Rest assured, I definitely tried some styles which didn't tick those boxes. I've not included them, though, because there's no point in advertising a brand if they're lacking in inclusivity and diversity, right? I'm still in the throes of finding more styles I approve, and further down is a selection of all the tall jeans I'm currently testing. I'll keep you posted on how they've faired once I've given them a good go. Read more about how we test things at Glamour here.

More tall jeans I'm currently testing
I'm always looking to add to jeans collection, so below are some more styles I'm in the midst of testing. I'll report back with a verdict once I've given them a fair trial of at least 3 wears.
Top tip: some brands like Marks & Spencer, River Island and Abercrombie & Fitch do, in fact, carry jeans for tall women – just look out for/select the ‘Long’ or ‘Extra Long’ option when picking your size before you check out.
