21 best chunky loafers (and how to style them)
Springtime means two things; bare legs, and chunky loafers. The perfect smart-casual choice when your cute ‘fit needs something more than a trainer, but less than a heel, chunky loafers have fast become an all-year-round item (up there with white t-shirts, jeans and blazers, if you ask us).
In fact, the best loafers in general are every ‘it’ girls' favourite form of footwear. They were many of it the fashion crowd’s go to at this year’s Paris Fashion Week, with Sex Education star Emma McKay and Tiktok’s Nara Smith both styling them for Miu Miu’s show.
But the one iteration that continuously stands as favourite remains the chunky loafer. And for 2025, we're seeing the fashion pack wear them laid back and casual with rugby shirts and loose fitting trousers, or with pastel midi dresses and cropped jackets to bring some edge to a feminine look.
