One Piece season 2 has dropped swashbuckling news: we now officially know who will be joining (and staying on) the cast for the second instalment. Most excitingly? Charithra Chandran of Bridgerton fame.
So what is One Piece about? For the uninitiated, the series is the first live-action adaptation of the bestselling manga series, which, according to Netflix, follows "a legendary high-seas quest unlike any other.
“Luffy is a young adventurer who has longed for a life of freedom ever since he can remember,” a synopsis for season one reads. “He sets off from his small village on a perilous journey to find the legendary fabled treasure, One Piece, to become King of the Pirates.”
Women have become equal players in their downfall.

Hooked yet? You'd better be, as the series has already been renewed for a third season.
One Piece season 2 cast
Here's a rundown of the amazing actors ending the cast for One Piece season 2.
The star of the show, as it were. Iñaki plays Monkey D. Luffy, the lead role of the series and boss of the Straw Hat Pirates. In season one, we see him as an aspiring pirate, and by the end of the series, we see his first wanted poster, with a bounty of 30 million berries. What trouble will befall him this season?
Mexico-born Iñaki Godoy has also appeared in Netflix projects The Imperfects and Who Killed Sara?.
We are so excited to see our Bridgerton girl Charithra on screens once more, as one of the most exciting additions to the One Piece season 2 cast, especially as she's reportedly set to be a huge star of season 3 as well.
She will play Baroque Works member Miss Wednesday, appearing alongside her partner Mr. 9.
Emily plays Nami, the second person to join the Straw Hats gang alongside Luffy. She soon blows past her scepticism around piracy and soon becomes the group's go-to navigator.
You might recognise Emily from the Fear Street Netflix horror trilogy, which she starred in alongside Stranger Things stars Sadie Sink and Maya Hawke.

We're excited to see the entrance of Miss All Sunday into the One Piece universe. Abova's now a series regular and already has hype around her role in series 3, with Netflix's character synopsis reading “Feared by the government, branded a devil child, and wielding a power that blooms with deadly precision, she’s no stranger to danger.”
Russian-German model and actor Lera Abova has also appeared in Honey Dont! alongside Margaret Qualley and Aubrey Plaza, as well as Anna, Exterritorial and Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin.
Reportedly "bringing a whole new level of danger to the Grand Line”, Joe's character Mr. 0 is set to wreak some serious havoc for series 2 and 3. Joe has been in some seriously massive TV series and movies, including cult sitcom How I Met Your Mother and Magic Mike.
Luffy's right hand man and the first to join the crew, Roronoa Zoro changes his allegiances from pirate hunter to pirate. His main skill? Being a seriously talented swordsman. We can't wait for more stunts.
Mackenyu is something of a style icon, recently seen on red carpets wearing Chanel and added extra piercings to his ears to match Zoro's iconic gold hoops.

We see Sanji join the pirates towards the end of the first instalment and becomes the crew's cook.
Taz Skylar is both an actor and screenwriter – he wrote and starred in Amazon Prime movie Gassed Up, which sees a teenager get mixed up in an organised crime ring while trying to earn money to raise his sister and send his mother to rehab.
Playing the son of Yasopp of the Red Hair Pirates, Jacob has also appeared in Grey's Anatomy, The Resident and Blairsden.
Brought to our screens using CGI, the much-awaited arrival of blue-nosed reindeer Tony Tony Chopper is finally here, with Superman and Guardians of the Galaxy Mikaela Hoover lending her voice to the part. Also look out for Hoover in the upcoming season 2 of Netflix's Beef.
Another swordsmanship expert (and newbie for season 2) to look out for is Tashigi. You may also recognise Julia, who plays her, from the Fear Street trilogy, which she starred in alongside co-star Emily Rudd.
You may have spotted Yonda already in the season two teasers making their way around the Internet. And if you recognise him, he already played Max in Netflix's Seriously Single.
Snatch and House of the Dragon star Vincent Regan will reprise his role as Marine Vice-Admiral Garp and – in a shocking season one reveal – protagonist Luffy's grandfather.
Koby, who started out in season one as Alvida's captive and was then saved by Luffy, is now a member of the Marines with Garp as the leader. A major character in the manga series, we recommend you keep an eye on this character. Morgan has most recently starred in 2023 horror Evil Dead Rise.
The Never Have I Ever star will continue his role as Nefertari Cobra, the Alabasta monarch. We're expecting big things, especially as he's already been confirmed as series regular for season 3.
As Netflix says: “Introducing Nefertari Cobra, the pillar of integrity in a kingdom at crossroads.”
Say hello to Koby's Marine colleague Helmeppo. You may recognise actor Aidan Scott from titles such as The Kissing Booth 2.
