Whilst most of us have been rocking the same hair parting for years, you may well have been opting for a parting that doesn't maximise and flatter your face shape. Who knew?
Indeed, according to experts, certain hair partings suit different face shapes and once you've figured yours out, it can totally revamp your look.

From choosing a middle parting for a round face to opting for a side parting for a round face shape, this gallery will inspire you to mix things up in the hair department.

Those with a rounder face shape tend to prefer styles that either elongate the chin or flatter the cheeks. For this purpose, Kamila suggests a side-parting.
"It will create a little bit of movement and make your face looks slimmer", she says.
"The key is also to add a few messy layers around the face which will break up the more circular shape."

The 70s are back, baby. If you have a heart-shaped face as defined as Kirsten Dunst, Kamila says a middle-parting with a grown out 70s style fringe is going to be your saviour this season.
"Go for irregular messy layers around the face to create movement", she says. "Then use a salt spray to enhance that texture."

Ahhhh the lucky ones! According to Kamila, most hair partings will suit this face shape. So why not go crazy and try a different one every day of the week?
Pixie cuts and fringes are at your disposal too.
If you want to know how to cool-girls are doing it, Kamila says the 'anti-parting' is the ultimate IDGAF move.
"Don’t make your parting look too perfect or symmetrical, just keep it messy and natural. So if it naturally sits a bit off centre, just keep it how it is!"

Face shapes aside, thin hair can also find refuge in a more voluminous parting.
The next time you're heading in for a cut, Kamila suggests to ask for "a middle parting with really blunt ends".
"This will allow you to play with your hair and change your parting to wherever you like. When you move your hair from side to side it will give an amazing thickening and texturising effect."
Not to mention hide any second-day dirty hair like a dream. Amirite?
Just make sure you're reading to commit to your cut, as you'll have to head for regular trims to keep it looking sharp and blunt.

Elegant in name and elegant in nature... The cowlick can be a right old jerk.
Try as you might, Kamila says blow-drying and products can't always withstand a stubborn sway of the hair.
In this case, you're best to work with your cowlick and create parting with your hairdresser that's customised to you.
