The Oscars 2023 red carpet was all about the sheer dress
The 95th annual Oscars is kicking off in Los Angeles, California, but before the actual star-studded ceremony – where we find out who is being honoured for this year's outstanding performances in film – the Hollywood elite are taking to the red carpet (which is actually champagne-coloured this year, as to not compete with the red drapery).
Among the classic and timeless couture gowns (looking at you, Cara Delevinge) were also more trend-led, showstopping-pieces, and one trend that has certainly dominated the red carpet this award season is the sheer dress. And if this year's Academy Awards are anything to go by, nearly-naked dresses are here to stay.
