Just as summer finally arrives (and is staying – we have everything crossed) the Sezane x Farm Rio collaboration lands. The timing could not be more ideal. While H&M release teasers of their mega-watt collabs months in advance, Sezane plays it cool with French insouciance. So it’s up to us to hype up their cool collections - and act very uncool. We’re here to shout about it from the rooftops. Seriously, you’re not going to want to miss this one.
There are forty pieces to wishlist and every one is a joyous riot of summer-time style. From the striped Mara sundress to the wrap-around Camila miniskirt - oh and the tie-back Manuella top - we’re manifesting it all.
Sezane celebrates it’s tenth anniversary this year and is the source of all our most beloved French Girl style staples, it’s a regular go-to for the GLAMOUR fashion team. Founder and creative director Morgane Sezalory is not a stranger to collaboration. Earlier this year the partnership with US label Sea New York caused palpitations across the pond and beyond with a mix of patchwork prints and ditsy romantic designs.
This time the mood is bolder and brighter. “I felt an immediate connection when I met Katia Barros (co-founder of Farm Rio)” says Sezalory. “We both share an ardent passion for creative pieces in surprising colour palettes that can be worn forever.”
And what about Farm Rio? Brazil’s “most beloved fashion brand” have been creating clothes full of tropical prints, vibrant colours and intriguing textures since 1997. From their market stall start to 85 boutiques across Brazil (and into New York, Miami and LA) they’ve only recently come onto the European radar… You can find Farm Rio in Liberty and online at Net-a-porter.com
Both brands put the planet high up their list of priorities, too. Farm Rio plant one tree for every purchase while Sezane has worked to achieve B-Corp status, which cements their sustainable credentials. And back to the clothes… everything drops online this morning so be quick to *add to basket*
The dresses are all stand-out, but it's the commitment to co-ords we're particularly stanning. The Gold blouse and Tiago trousers would be a cool alternative to a dress if you're looking for wedding guest outfit ideas. For more casual vibes, the striped Kurt shorts and matching Max shirt would be a dream weekend fit, whether you're spending it on Ipanema beach - or Brighton beach.
