Peach cheeks is the unexpected beauty trend fresh from fashion week - and it's super flattering
Blusher has made a big comeback this year, with sweet cherry temples taking over the runway, red carpet and sidewalk. And with only Paris left on the Fashion Week run, there's one SS19 makeup trend that's warming our hearts and complexions.
It's true, peach blush traditionally becomes popular come spring, but as the leaves begin to change into a similar shade, we're couldn't be more ready for apricot apples this autumn.
We first spotted a swipe of tangerine backstage at Malene Oddershede Bach in London, with the peachy tone also taken up towards the temples and across the eyes. The lips were lightly kissed with a similar nectarine nude (ok, ok, we'll stop with the fruit references), which looked particularly stunning on strawberry blonde models. There was also a notable lack of foundation, which suits us fine if it means we can stay in bed longer come the cold mornings.
Things got a little deeper at Molly Goddard, with Mac's Mineralize Skin Finish in Sun Power used to create terracotta-bronzed cheeks. Think, "a 70s healthy glow... Sophia Loren off-duty after a holiday", says lead makeup artist, Hiromi Ueda.
If you don't have the budget to stretch for a new shade of blusher, you could take a leaf out of the backstage book from Roksanda. Lead artist, Miranda Joyce, used Mac's Amplified Lipstick in 'Half 'N Half' to create the 'sheer, clean and balmy Roksanda woman we know'. So if you have some peach lipsticks hanging around, that's your dewy dimples sorted right there.

While peach blush may pop on fair skintones, sunset colours look beautiful on deeper tones, too. If you like your cheeks loud, go bold with an orange such as Nars Blush in 'Taj Mahal' (£24), or hit the sweet-spot between peach and pink with the 'Coral' Blush by Sleek Makeup (£4.99).
