After an honest Haus Labs review? I've got a lot of thoughts on Lady Gaga's brand
There's no shortage of celebrity makeup brands in the beauty space – from Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty and Hailey Bieber’s Rhode to Kylie Cosmetics and, of course, Haus Labs by Lady Gaga. Having first launched in 2019 before relaunching in 2022 with a fresh look and new formulas, Haus Labs is still one of the most talked-about celebrity-founded makeup brands, thanks to its impressive formulas, bold packaging and seriously extensive shade ranges.
Despite being a beauty journalist for six whole years, I’d never actually tried anything from Haus Labs before. So, when I was tasked to swap my usual routine for a full face of Haus Labs products – we’re talking foundation, concealer, bronzer, blush, highlighter (the lot) – I was definitely intrigued to see whether the brand lived up to the social media hype.

While I do test beauty products for a living, I wouldn’t say I’m someone who wears a full face of makeup every single day. I usually go for a more natural look – a lightweight, tinted moisturiser, a bit of concealer, cream blush and mascara. So, a complete Haus Labs routine was a little more than I’d normally reach for. That said, the products surprised me in the best way.
As for the brand’s most talked-about product, we obviously need to discuss the Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Foundation. With 51 shades and a lightweight, medium-coverage formula, it promises a satin, skin-like finish with skincare-loving ingredients in the mix. So, without further ado, here’s how I got on – and which Haus Labs products I think are actually worth buying.
How I tested Haus Labs:
As a beauty journalist, it’s my job to test skincare, makeup and haircare products - and no, that doesn’t mean swiping something on once and calling it a day. It means wearing products properly over time, seeing how my skin reacts, how the formulas actually perform and whether they hold up in real life.
For this Haus Labs review, I switched out my usual makeup products and used a full Haus Labs routine for one week. I wore the products on busy office days to see how the foundation and concealer lasted, to after-work press events to check whether anything needed topping up, and even in the pouring rain because, well, English weather.
I also made notes on the shade ranges, how each product felt on my skin, how easy they were to apply and, importantly, anything I didn’t love too. For context, I have relatively dry skin, so I always pay close attention to formulas that feel hydrating, give me a healthy glow and don’t cling to dry patches.
It’s also worth noting that I did use a different setting spray throughout testing - my trusty Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray - as Haus Labs doesn’t currently have one in the range.
Ahead, my honest Haus Labs review.
The Foundation: Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Medium Coverage Foundation
- Shade range: 51.
- Coverage: Medium & buildable.
- Key Ingredients: Fermented arnica, licorice root extract, antioxidants.
- Suitable for: All skin types (including acne-prone and sensitive).
Glamour review: "I’m not the biggest foundation fan. Most days I’ll reach for a tinted moisturiser, BB cream or skin tint over a proper base, so I’m always a bit sceptical when a foundation claims to feel lightweight. But honestly, the Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Foundation is one of the best medium-coverage foundations I’ve ever used.
"I wore the shade 310 Medium Warm, which is possibly the closest foundation match I’ve ever had – and that’s hard enough in person, let alone online. I applied it with the Haus Labs Dual-Ended Multi-Purpose Brush and it blended like a dream, giving just enough coverage to make my skin look more even and polished, while still looking like skin.
"The finish was the real selling point for me. It gave me that glass-skin glow without looking greasy or oily, didn’t cling to my dry patches and felt comfortable on my sensitive skin. The coverage is medium but buildable, so you can keep it natural or add more where you need it. Genuinely, I don’t have anything bad to say."

The Concealer: Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Hydrating Concealer
- Shade range: 31.
- Coverage: Medium & buildable.
- Key Ingredients: Niacinamide, fermented arnica, hyaluronic acid.
- Suitable for: All skin types (including acne-prone and sensitive).
Glamour review: “I’m not being dramatic when I say concealer can make or break my makeup. I rely on it every day to brighten my under-eyes, tone down the redness around my nose and cover anything I don’t want on show, so it needs to work hard without looking obvious. After trying the Triclone foundation, I had a feeling I’d like the concealer too - and I was right.
"I tried shade 23, which was two to three shades lighter than my foundation and gave me that bright, lifted effect I always go for. The flat oval doe-foot applicator was great for larger areas like under my eyes, while the slightly pointed tip made it easy to be more precise around my nose, where I tend to get redness, and on any blemishes that needed a bit more careful concealing. I used the smaller end of the Haus Labs Dual-Ended Multi-Purpose Brush to blend it out, and it disappeared into my skin almost instantly.
"What I liked most is that it gave proper coverage without looking like concealer. It brightened, blurred and evened everything out, but still looked skin-like. The formula contains Fermented Arnica and Hyaluronic Acid Complex, which explains why it felt so comfortable on my dry, sensitive skin, and after a full day in the office, it hadn’t creased, cracked or settled into lines. One thing I would say is that while I liked the brightening effect, it was slightly too light for me - I could have done with going one shade warmer.”
The Bronzer: Haus Labs Power Sculpt Velvet Bronzer
- Shade range: 8.
- Coverage: Natural-looking, second-skin finish.
- Key ingredients: Fermented arnica and plant squalane.
- Suitable for: All skin types (including acne-prone and sensitive).
Glamour review: “NGL, I’m definitely more of a cream bronzer girl than a powder one, so I was a little nervous to try the Haus Labs Power Sculpt Velvet Bronzer - especially as I was pairing it with a full liquid-based routine. Powder over liquid can be a risky game and, on my skin, it often ends up looking patchy, but this one seriously surprised me.
"I used the shade Amber Horizon Medium, which gave my olive skin tone the perfect sun-kissed warmth without looking orange or dirty (bad memories from the OG Hoola days). I buffed it in with my smaller REFY double-ended brush, focusing on my cheekbones and the high points of my forehead to add some colour and healthiness back into my skin, especially after I’d gone slightly overboard with the concealer.
"I completely get why they call it velvet, because it glided over my liquid products so seamlessly. You can really see in the video how it adds soft definition to my cheekbones without looking harsh. The formula is infused with Fermented Arnica and Plant Squalane to hydrate, nourish and soften the skin, and it comes in a gorgeous rose-gold compact that looks seriously luxe. A little goes a long way, too.”
The Blush: Haus Labs Color Fuse Longwear Glassy Lip + Cheek Stick
- Shade range: 11.
- Coverage: Sheer-to-medium.
- Key Ingredients: Fermented arnica, goji berry complex.
- Suitable for: All skin types (including acne-prone and sensitive).
Glamour review: “One makeup product I can’t get enough of is blush. It’s the thing that pulls my whole face together IMO, and as someone who loves a cream formula, anything that doubles up for lips and cheeks is always going to get my attention. I tried the Haus Labs Color Fuse Longwear Glassy Lip + Cheek Stick in Glassy Hibiscus, which is a pretty, fresh shade that gives more of a natural flush than a full-on pop of colour.
"I’ll be honest, it’s not the punchiest blush I’ve ever used. Blush blindness is very much a thing for me, so I’m definitely in the more-is-more camp, and I’d love to try a few of the deeper shades to see if they give a bit more impact. That said, it blended beautifully into my skin, felt really balmy and hydrating, and gave that healthy, glassy finish without looking sticky.
"The formula is packed with skincare ingredients, including Goji Berry Complex to help skin look plumper and Fermented Arnica to visibly calm redness, and I can see why it feels more like a serum stick than a traditional cream blush. For everyday, low-effort makeup, I really liked it - although I did find myself topping it up by the evening, especially because blush is always the first thing to disappear on me. I also tapped it onto my lips and it gave a lovely, natural wash of colour.”

The Highlighter: Haus Labs Bio Radiant Highlighter Balm
- Shade range: 6.
- Key Ingredients: Sea fennel & wakame extracts.
- Suitable for: All skin types (including acne-prone and sensitive).
Glamour review: “Highlighter isn’t something I reach for every day, but it’s the product I rely on when my makeup needs jazzing up. I tried the Haus Labs Bio Radiant Highlighter Balm in Glassy Opal, and it’s perfect for taking my daytime makeup into nighttime without having to redo my whole face.
"I applied it to my cheekbones and eyes, and it gave that instant glossy, iridescent glow that catches the light in all the right places. It’s really easy to use too - just swipe on and tap in - and I liked that it didn’t move or disturb the makeup I already had underneath.
"The formula feels balmy and hydrating rather than dry or glittery, which makes sense as it’s made with 64% skincare and powered by Sea Fennel and Wakame Extracts. It’s a gorgeous little glow booster, especially if your makeup starts looking a bit flat by the end of the day.”
My verdict:
I’ll be honest, I’m not usually won over by celebrity beauty brands. I tend to get more excited about up-and-coming names or brands founded by people with years of makeup expertise - (no shade to Lady Gaga, of course). That said, Haus Labs surprised me in the best way, and most of the products I tried for this review have already become mainstays in my makeup routine.
The base products impressed me the most. As I’ve already mentioned, I’m not a huge foundation person and will usually choose a skin tint over anything with too much coverage, but I’ve been reaching for Triclone almost every day since it landed on my desk. The concealer is just as good. I was definitely a little heavy-handed the first time I used it, but once I realised a little goes a long way, I was sold. It’s brightening, creamy and genuinely one of the best concealers I’ve tried - and as a beauty journalist who has tested hundreds, that’s not something I say lightly.
The blush was the one product I wasn’t completely won over by. It gave a pretty, natural flush, but I have serious blush blindness and tend to go for something brighter and bolder, especially because blush is always the first thing to disappear on me. I did end up topping it up with my Rhode Pocket Blush, but I’d still be interested to try some of the stronger shades.
Overall, I was really impressed with how my makeup looked after using a full face of Haus Labs. I’d go as far as saying it’s one of the only times I’ve properly loved my makeup after applying it myself. The formulas were easy to blend, buildable and far more wearable than I expected, and Haus Labs has definitely made me rethink my celebrity beauty brand scepticism.
