The first-ever period-proof swimwear has launched

A carefully-planned summer holiday can often be tarnished by your time of the month.

Whilst there's plenty of one-pieces, swimsuits for bigger chests and bikinis on the market, Modibodi Swim is the UK's first-ever period-proof swimwear and claims to be 100% leak-proof, protecting women from any pelvic or period leaks.

The brand say the swimwear is water-resistant, dries super-fast, won’t stain and fights odour, too.

So how on earth does it work? Well, its clever technology can apparently hold up to 1.5 tampons of fluid, absorbing menstrual, discharge or bladder leak flow and locking it away so there’s no dampness sensation, whilst the moisture-wicking layer draws periods, bladder leaks, sweat and discharge away and fights bacteria.

Sadly the costumes aren't the most purse-friendly and will set you back around £70, but if your period often plagues you on holiday, it could be well worth the investment.
