11 new-season investment pieces on my wishlist right now
We are – and always have been – total advocates for high-low dressing. That is, pairing accessibly-priced pieces from the high street with designer staples that have the ability to elevate any ensemble.
Cutting down on fast-fashion in favour of luxury pieces which last longer is a no-brainer if you can afford to, particularly if you opt for one with great investment value. Of course, online shopping for such pieces can quickly turn into a high-pressure, competitive sport – and knowing what's worth investing in (when) becomes overwhelming. Hopefully, my curation of new-season luxury buys should help – and leave you feeling somewhat inspired. From vintage finds to new-in handbags and luxury denim, here I present the pieces that have piqued my interest.
On both AW24 and 2025 resort-wear runways, suede jackets were big news – undoubtedly a result of Prada kickstarting their revival back in 2023. Ralph Lauren's zip-up and Jacquemus' collared bomber followed suit – and now, Miu Miu's cropped suede design has cemented itself as the coolest layering staple of the season. Best worn atop a boho summer dress à la the cool girls of Coachella, it caught my eye immediately when it landed on MyTheresa last week.
Jean jackets also deserve some noise – oozing '90s cool and best done by Cecilie Bahnsen, Agolde, Frame and Levi's. I adore Fillipa K's slouchy denim jacket featured below. Speaking of noise, Bottega's new Wallace bag – crafted from raffia torchon with contrasted leather detailing – deserves some too. Proving, once again, that the brand is no stranger to dropping a cult accessory.
Elsewhere, Polish designer Magda Butrym, who counts Selena Gomez, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Dua Lipa as fans, has dived headfirst into the mainstream thanks to the launch of H&M X Magda Butrym. We'd be amiss not to include a piece from her ready-to-wear collection, too.

Bottega was founded in 1966 on the premise that “your own initials are enough”, never cashing in on fashion's obsession with logos. Instead, focusing on high-end craftsmanship – their signature artisan intrecciato woven leather and chunky chain details became recognisable enough.
I've been on the hunt for a beautiful evening bag for a very long time, and the brand's new Wallis bag – crafted from raffia torchon with contrasted leather detailing – is at the top of my wishlist.
One of Magda Butrym's most iconic hallmarks is that of floral embellishments – as seen on this beautiful new-season blazer. The boxy jacket exemplifies the label's penchant for romance, woven with Japanese linen, lined in silk and finished with an oversized rose motif.
This crochet cardigan Calle Del Mar embodies the relaxed; carefree spirit of '70s California – adorned with dainty floral motifs and made using at least 50% lower-impact materials. Best worn atop a triangle bikini.
It seems some of the industry's biggest names are on something of a dairy high right now, with everyone from Louis Vuitton to Chanel and Jacquemus showcasing variations of the butter yellow trend on their most recent runways. Cut in the colour of the season, this cotton Gucci sweater vest is my dream entry-point, showing the brand's iconic GG logo.
Jane Birkin was famously known for carrying a wicker basket as she went about her errands, kickstarting a forever-obsession with basket bags for summer among the fashion set. The Loewe basket bag and Chloé's Woody Medium Paper Basket Bag have been GLAMOUR's favourite buys in summers of the past; this year, YSL's Icare maxi embellished leather-trimmed raffia tote reigns supreme.

I don't own anything from Missoni – but have wanted to for the longest time. When I do make an investment, it'll have to be a piece adorned in colourful zigzags, as per the Italian house's signature raschel techniques. This cropped knit is flecked with metallic threads and pairs perfectly with the brand's matching skirt.
