Topshop

What started as a brand extension of a department store in the ‘60s, Topshop originally sold fashion by young British designers such as Mary Quant. It grew into its own by the late ’90s, and quickly became a go-to for the fashion set thanks to sell-out collections, like Kate Moss for Topshop, and advertisements featuring models like Cara Delevingne. They kept a steady finger on the trend pulse for years, with their flagship store on Oxford Street acting as a landmark until 2020, when it (along with all the other nationwide stores) closed.

It's had a resurgence, though, thanks to its runway comeback at Trafalgar Square last year and now being available to shop both online (at topshop.com) as well as IRL at places like Liberty and John Lewis.
