ASOS
ASOS is a global retailer, but it originated in 2000 in London. Primarily aimed at young adults, the website carries over 850 brands, stocks its own lines, and ships to 196 countries. The name stands for As Seen On Screen, because back in the day, it exclusively sold imitations of clothing from TV and film; for example, Brad Pitt's red leather jacket from the 1999 film Fight Club. What started as a brand extension of a department store in the ‘60s, Topshop originally sold fashion by young British designers such as Mary Quant. It grew into its own by the late ’90s, and quickly became a go-to for the fashion set thanks to sell-out collections, like Kate Moss for Topshop, and advertisements featuring models like Cara Delevingne. Nobody's Child first graced the UK in 2015 when it was founded by Andrew Xeni who had the goal of creating stylish and affordable clothing with a focus on ethical and sustainable practices. Dr. Martens
Dr. Martens (also known as Doc Martens, Docs, or DMs) began as a £2 work boot, selling primarily to Britain's working classes.
