This year's gala honours the Metropolitan Museum of Art's latest exhibit, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which explores “the importance of clothing and style to the formation of Black identities in the Atlantic diaspora.” To further celebrate Black dandies' everlasting impact on fashion and culture, attendees were instructed to embrace menswear through the dress code, Tailored for You.
For the first time since her Met Gala debut in 2015, Zendaya was not accompanied by longtime stylist and image director Law Roach, who attended the event separately.
