The best Met Gala 2025 beauty looks, from Doechii to Aimee Lou Wood
At the Met Gala 2025, fashion may have been the focus, but we can all agree that a red carpet look is nothing without hair and makeup. This year's theme was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” while the dress code for the event was “Tailored for You.”
When it came to makeup, we were expecting glam custom tailored for each attendee—meticulous liner, well-placed blush, and expertly blended out eyeshadow.
We were also keeping an eye out for matchy-matchy makeup: Think textures and tones that pair with the well-tailored clothes gracing the Met Gala red carpet. Teyana Taylor led the pack, wearing sharp liner and burgundy lips to match her billowing cape, while Emma Chamberlain's black smokey eye was the perfect finishing touch for her deconstructed suit dress.
