We’re suffering from a serious Off Campus hangover. We were pulled into the world of Garrett and Hannah, emotionally invested in every longing stare and hockey-fuelled argument, only to be abruptly abandoned once the credits rolled. Now what? Download dating apps? Reach for the trusty rabbit vibrator?
Or — and hear us out — we could simply avoid confronting our own empty love lives by finding another TV show like Off Campus. Yep, while we impatiently wait for Off Campus season two, there’s an entire world of college-set dramas, BookTok-approved romances, and friendship-fuelled coming-of-age series ready to fill the void. The yearning never has to stop.
From Rivals to Overcompensating, here are all the TV shows like Off Campus to add to your watch list.
TV shows to watch after Off Campus
Another recent release, Rivals season two, is a very different show to Off Campus — but still manages to tick many of the same boxes. It has yearning, betrayal, forbidden love, and a deeply unhelpful level of competition. Less ice hockey, more polo, but we promise you’ll have a good time.
Set in the fictional county of Rutshire in the Cotswolds, Rivals dives into the cutthroat world of 1980s broadcasting, where ambition and desire are constantly colliding. It’s glossy, chaotic, and packed with scandal — and yes, there is plenty of sex.
This is an obvious one, but we promise it isn’t just about the ice hockey link. Sports romances have really boomed on BookTok, and now they’re making their way onto our screens. Heated Rivalry follows two rival ice hockey players who hook up and eventually fall in love — enemies-to-lovers like you’ve never seen it before. We’re already desperate for Heated Rivalry season two.
Why is it perfect for fans of Off Campus? Aside from the sports focus, both shows really lean into the emotional core of the characters. In Heated Rivalry, it’s about grappling with sexuality. In Off Campus, it’s the trauma both leads carry and learn to confront.
That’s a familiar face… recognise him yet? Yep — Garrett stans are going to lose it over Along for the Ride, starring Belmont Cameli.
He plays Eli, an insomniac who meets fellow non-sleeper Auden. Over the summer before college, the two night owls embark on late-night quests while the rest of their town sleeps.
Like Off Campus, it’s based on a romance novel — this time by Sarah Dessen — and it’s a full emotional rollercoaster. Expect tears. It’s a film on Netflix, but it’ll still get you a step closer to Off Campus season two.
Look, this is a safe space — you can admit if Justin (Josh Heuston) was more your type than Garrett or Dean. You’d be wrong, but that’s okay. Kidding!
Still, if you did develop a slight obsession with him while watching Off Campus, then your next binge-watch needs to be Heartbreak High, another series starring Josh Heuston.
Think Degrassi meets Sex Education — but make it Australian. It’s one of the most genuinely inclusive teen dramas we’ve seen in years, managing to explore sexuality and gender identity without reducing its characters entirely to those labels. And the Heartbreak High season three ending? Completely addictive. It also features a central romance strong enough to rival Garrett and Hannah — yes, we said it.
Fair warning, though: Heuston’s role becomes significantly smaller after season one because he left to film Dune: Prophecy. But don’t worry — by that point, the show will almost certainly have handed you several new crushes to carry you through the remaining seasons.
A little more old school, but if one of your favourite things about Off Campus was its university setting, then you’ll appreciate all four seasons of Greek.
Greek follows Rusty, a freshman who unexpectedly pledges his sister Casey’s ex-boyfriend Cappie’s fraternity. He has to find his feet in a completely new world, navigating frat life, shifting loyalties, and complicated relationships along the way.
Expect frat parties, hazing, sorority power struggles, young love, and plenty of chaos. Greek has everything you want from a campus-set drama, and then some. It's a little less emotionally charged than Off Campus, but it definitely has its moments!
If you’re open to a romance novel adaptation that leans more towards fanfiction — and don’t mind reading subtitles — then Maxton Hall is your next binge after Off Campus.
It follows scholarship student Ruby as she enters the opulent world of Maxton Hall, where she quickly finds herself entangled with James, the arrogant son of a billionaire. After witnessing a scandalous secret, James will do anything to keep her quiet. Somewhere along the way, forced proximity turns into something much more complicated. Sound familiar? A little like a certain fake-dating, study-buddy situation we know and love…
You’ve got two seasons and nothing to lose, so give Maxton Hall a chance.
Another book-to-TV adaptation to obsess over, and another college-set drama to rival Off Campus, just with significantly fewer warm fuzzy feelings and a much stronger urge to delete dating apps immediately.
Tell Me Lies follows the relationship between Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco as it unfolds over eight years after they first meet at college. This is not the sweet, steady romance of Hannah and Garrett — it’s the kind of toxic, push-pull relationship that lives rent-free in every group chat and should probably come with a warning label. And yet, it’s completely compelling.
Tell Me Lies is available on Hulu, or on Disney+ in the UK.
Once again, we’re back on campus — but honestly, what is it about college that makes for such a perfect TV setting? This time it’s HBO’s The Sex Lives of College Girls. If one of your favourite parts of Off Campus is the friendship between Allie and Hannah, just imagine that dynamic multiplied by four.
The Sex Lives of College Girls follows Kimberly, Leighton, Bela and Whitney after they become roommates at Essex College. It dives into all the chaos of early university life: family interference, first relationships, coming out, identity crises, and everything in between.
And for the real Off Campus crossover energy? Josh Logan is played by Antonio Cipriano, who previously dated Reneé Rapp, who stars as Leighton in the series. The pair met while both were on Broadway, and he’s rumoured to have inspired some of her music — including I Hate Boston.
You guessed it — one final college-set TV show to watch after Off Campus. Look, the campus setting is vital for capturing the intense friendships, messy relationships, and all-round emotional chaos that define these kinds of stories.
Overcompensating follows Benny, a closeted former football player, as he forms an unexpected friendship with Carmen, a high school outsider. With guidance from his older sister and her boyfriend, Benny and Carmen navigate terrible hookups, flavoured vodka, and questionable fake IDs.
It’s hilarious, heartbreaking, and everything in between — exactly the kind of messy, addictive coming-of-age energy that makes it impossible to look away.
