The Summer I Turned Pretty may be over, but our longing for teen romance isn't going anywhere. Luckily Maxton Hall is serving up exactly what we're craving. The German teen romance show debuted on Prime last year and instantly won our hearts. If, like us, you're desperate for more, we're pleased to inform you that Maxton Hall season 2 is almost here.
Set at the fictional Maxton Hall (an English private school where everyone speaks German, don't dig too deep), the show follows Ruby Bell, a scholarship student who discovers her classmate Lydia is having an affair with a teacher, Mr. Sutton. Soon, Ruby finds herself butting heads with James, the snobbish, wealthy older brother of Lydia, who will do anything to silence her, thus laying the foundations for a delicious enemies-to-loves arc rife with class conflicts and drama. Yes, we are seated for it.
Here's everything we know so far, including what time Maxton Hall season 2 is released on Netflix and who's making a return this series.
It all comes down to this.

What will Maxton Hall season 2 be about?
At the end of the first season of Maxton Hall, Ruby and James came back together at Oxford after a tumultuous time at Maxton Hall. The pair began a complicated relationship after their initial distrust — but their romance was anything but easy. James' father puts a wedge between them, threatening James in an attempt to end their relationship. James had no choice but to pull away, leaving Ruby hurt and confused.
When they meet at Oxford, they sleep together seem to be about to finally come together again. However, the sudden death of James' mother makes things even more complicated for the star-crossed lovers.
This leaves them “worlds apart” as the season 2 title suggests.
In season 2, we'll see the couple deal with the aftermath of their relationship and the death of James' mother. You can expect a lot more drama and, hopefully, a lot more romance.
Jenny Han left a subtle hint in a finale post-credits message…
