She walked away with the Best Actress award for her performance in La La Land, dressed in a 1920s-style golden, fringed Givenchy gown. Oh, and her winner's card was accidentally read out for the Best Picture category, meaning that La La Land was incorrectly announced as the winner, instead ofMoonlight.

But it wouldn't be the Oscars without politically-driven speeches and statements. Many attendees, including fellow Best Actress nominee Ruth Negga, wore a blue ribbon in support of ACLU, American Civil Liberties Union. But Stone's statement pin was trickier to spot.

Underneath the left strap of her dress, she wore a silver Planned Parenthood badge.

While the 28-year-old didn't comment on the pin, avoiding any political commentary in her acceptance speech, it follows President Trump's order to ban federal funds that promote abortion around the world earlier this year.

And Stone wasn't the only star to show their support for the non-profit women's reproductive health organisation.

Glamour cover star Dakota Johnson fixed the badge to her metallic clutch bag:

The Fifty Shades Darker actress also let her pin do the talking, showing her support for women's reproductive rights in a silent, powerful way.

Like Stone, Johnson also wore a golden dress for this year's red carpet.
