Alright, now that we’ve got your attention, it’s time to get into it. Netflix has just dropped first-look images from the third instalment of the action-adventure franchise. Starring Millie Bobby Brown as the titular Enola Holmes, the films follow Sherlock Holmes’ equally clever younger sister as she solves crimes with the help of the very dashing Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge).
Released in 2022, Enola Holmes 2 saw the protagonist open her own detective agency and solve a mystery inspired by the 1888 Matchgirls’ Strike in London.
Netflix has also dropped the official release date and cast list, making this a very exciting day for mystery fans everywhere.

What is the plot of Enola Holmes 3?
Enola Holmes is ready to solve her next mystery… and walk down the aisle.
According to Netflix: “Adventure chases detective Enola Holmes to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide on a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before,” the movie’s official synopsis states. “As the private detective juggles the new case and the next stages of her relationship with Tewkesbury, the game is truly afoot.”
Philip Barantini, who directed Adolescence, has taken over directing duties from Harry Bradbeer, who helmed the first two Enola Holmes films. Like its previous instalments, Enola Holmes 3 is written by Jack Thorne, who previously collaborated with Barantini on Adolescence. The film is based on the Enola Holmes Mysteries book series by Nancy Springer.
When will Enola Holmes 3 be released?
Enola Holmes 3 will be available for streaming on the 1st of July, 2026. That gives you plenty of time to rewatch the first two films.

Bobby Brown spoke to Tudum about the upcoming film, “What I love about this chapter is that Enola is stepping into a version of herself that feels much more defined but still evolving. She’s built something for herself, which is amazing, but she’s also questioning what she wants next, and I think that’s something so many people can relate to.”
“Working with Louis [Partridge] has been such a huge part of what makes these films feel special. There’s a comfort and an ease between us now that you can’t really fake and it just comes from years of working together and supporting each other. What’s been really nice is getting to explore a more mature version of Enola & Tewkesbury’s relationship. It’s not just playful anymore, it has real weight to it. We trust each other a lot, which means we can take more risks and really lean into the emotional side of their story.”
Enola Holmes 3 will be streaming on Netflix on July 1st.
