What has Donald Trump done since becoming President?
In less than a week, Donald Trump has made quite an impact as President. From condoning torture and waterboarding, to beginning to put in measures to ban refugees from entering the country, he has certainly been busy.
Since becoming President, Trump has wasted no time in signing a number of executive orders (12 to be exact). Here are three of the most radical orders:
Fast-tracking approval of the Dakota Access and Keystone Oil Pipelines: Yes, these are the pipelines entire communities protested against for months last year. The pipelines would run through entire communities and threaten to contaminate water sources.
Banning federal dollars from going towards any organisation that provides abortion: What women have feared for many months is seemingly becoming a reality. Organisations such as Planned Parenthood are set to no longer receive funding and Trump has vowed to overturn the 1979 Roe v Wade decision which legalised abortion, in favour of a state-by-state decision policy.
Building the Mexican wall: The infamous wall which Trump has promised to build for so long might soon become a reality. Trump has signed an order which directs agencies to begin planning and finding funding for the project. He also wishes to employ a further 5000 border control agents on the Southern border of America.
Many worldwide have expressed outrage and despair at some of Trump's decisions so far, and took to Twitter to discuss their horror.

Twitter users have also picked up on a tweet Trump sent out in 2014:
Responses included messages such as "I surely hope so" and the creation of the hashtag #ImpeachTrump.
Also taking to Twitter were the teams behind several National Park Twitter pages. The Badlands National Park and Death Valley NPS, for example, tweeted out climate change facts, presumably to take a stand against Trump's views that climate change is a hoax.
Along with the slight bit of hope this defiance has given Americans, it's also excellent news that The Netherlands have taken it upon themselves to fight against Trump's anti-abortion laws by setting up an international abortion fund. Lilianne Ploumen, the Dutch minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, intends to set up the project to “compensate this financial setback [caused by Trump's 'global gag rule' discussed earlier, which aims to federally defund organisations that provide abortion] as much as possible”
In addition, hundreds of thousands marched last weekend across the world, in protest to Trump and his treatment of women in particular.
In other words: there is always hope!
