The Oscars have kicked off with the stars hitting the red carpet in their many beautiful gowns, and you may have seen Ruth Negga wearing one important accessory.
Her blue ribbon was a display of support for ACLU, American Civil Liberties Union, a organisation committed to protecting the rights of Americans.
Recently, the organisation has been vocal on protecting the rights of people under President Donald Trump's administration.
Ruth wore the ribbon attached to her stunning, red Valentino gown. Supermodel Karlie Kloss was also spotted wearing the same ribbon.
We're betting this isn't the only political statement we'll see from the Oscars 2017.
