Its second season may have only just landed on Netflix, though our minds are already firmly on My Life With The Walter Boys season 3 and what comes next for Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez), Cole (Noah LaLonde) and Alex (Ashby Gentry).
Based on the Wattpad novel of the same title by Ali Novak, My Life With the Walter Boys focuses on the complicated love triangle that develops between the three after 15-year-old Jackie Howard finds herself forced to move from glitzy Manhattan to rural Silver Falls, Colorado following the deaths of her family. It's while she's in the care of her godmother and mum's best friend Katherine Walter (Sarah Rafferty) that she meets Cole and Alex, with things quickly escalating from here.
With season 1 of the show having spent an impressive eight weeks in Netflix's Top 10 English shows list, we know we're not the only ones desperate to know when we'll be getting another dose of the Walter boys.
And with that cliffhanger season 2 ending, there's plenty of loose ends that need tying up ASAP. So do we have a My Life With The Walter Boys season 3 release date yet and what other news has been confirmed so far? Here's every detail we have right now if you're, like us, already counting down the days until we get a next season.
Has My Life With the Walter Boys season 3 been confirmed?
Yes! My Life With the Walter Boys season 3 was confirmed on 6 August 2025, just over three weeks ahead of the second season coming to Netflix.

Do we have a My Life With the Walter Boys season 3 release date yet?
Given that production was already underway before season 2 even got released, things are looking pretty positive for MLWTWB fans. In fact, What’s on Netflix revealed that filming began on 6 June 2025, noting that a “nearly four-month shoot is planned, with a tentative wrap date set for December 1, 2025". The outlet also said that Netflix is aiming for “a mid-to-late August 2026 release...though given how far out we are, that’s highly subject to change.”
Iiiinteresting! This all sounds very promising.
Belly's final summer in Cousins is upon us — but which brother will she pick?

What will happen in season 3?
Given that season 2 ends with Jackie finally admitting she is also in love with Cole (after he says it first), there's that tiny (read: major) detail that needs addressing in a third season of the Netflix show.
Beyond that, though, it's all to play for because just as Cole goes in for a kiss we see that Alex has been listening to their conversation the entire time, further complicating things. In case you need a refresher, he and Jackie had been sneakily dating this season, with her also telling Alex that she was in love with him too just a few episodes prior.
“I can’t even imagine their next conversation,” Rodriguez said in an interview with Tudum. Mood.
“It took a lot of work for me to be like, ‘OK, well, why would she say these things to both people, and what is she going through?’ she continues. Given Jackie suddenly losing her family, we feel like we can cut her some slack for being romantically confused by everything she has going on.
In another interview with Teen Vogue Rodriguez also explained "I understand why Jackie is conflicted because it's tough, right? Like team Cole and team Alex. They’re both so great in different ways. I understand why people are split. Alex is so sweet and caring and he's just so sensitive and kind. Then Cole is like that passionate type that you have to peel back the layers.”
Ultimately, she added, “I always say team Jackie because she needs to follow her heart and her dreams and she deserves to be happy."
The second season also leaves what has happened to the boys' father George (Marc Blucas) ambiguous. The whole love confession between Jackie and Cole is interrupted by the boys’ older brother Will (Johnny Link) arriving on an ATV along with ambulances and the news that something has happened to George. It remains to be seen exactly what, but it doesn't sound great.
In terms of what else we can expect from My Life With The Walter Boys season 3, the show's creator Melanie Halsall is also keen to develop the MLWTWB world beyond the love triangle. In an interview with Tudum she said “I love the teenage stories and what we do with those characters. But I think we have a lot of potential to tell stories that are intergenerational. I’d love to be able to do more of that in season 3.”
Expanding on this, she explained to Variety , “The love triangle is fantastic, of course, and I could see how audiences would be really drawn to that. But what I also loved about it was the ensemble around that—this big world that Ali created with all these characters. You have all these characters you can create stories for, focusing on the love triangle in the middle.”
