35 best romantic movies on Netflix

It doesn't have to be Valentine's season to enjoy romantic movies. As much as we love a gripping true crime documentary and an edge-of-our-seat thriller movie here at Glamour, some days just call for a lovey-dovey flick, don't they?
Luckily for us, romantic movies on Netflix are in no shortage, with the platform being home to some of the best films of all time that will tug at even the coldest of hearts during a cosy night in.
2026 has started strong, with Hamnet and Wuthering Heights providing much in the way of romance and drama (the former maybe a tad more of a tearjerker than the latter), while last year brought iconic rom-coms and dramas like The History of Sound and A Big Bold Beautiful Journey that are firmly on our ‘Watch Again’ list on Letterboxd.
Of course, you've also got your golden oldies. Notting Hill is one for the ages, while Purple Hearts broke us with its emotional story of a struggling singer-songwriter who agrees to marry a troubled Marine, Luke, for military benefits.
There has also been a cultural insight into the topic of love from other countries, including the collection of short stories centred on Indian women depicted in Lust Stories.
So, for your next Friday night filmathon or post-work romcom sesh, make sure to stick on one of the following 35 best romantic movies on Netflix. All you need is love, after all…
