MobLand season 2 is all we can think about following that intense finale episode of the first season, and we need answers now.

Written by Top Boy creator Ronan Bennett, executive produced by Guy Ritchie and starring the likes of Helen Mirren (Maeve Harrigan) and Pierce Brosnan (Conrad Harrigan), it's safe to say that MobLand had all the right ingredients to be incredibly addictive. So addictive, in fact, it garnered over 26 million viewers for its first season.

The gripping crime drama focuses on the ongoing battle between the Harrigans and Stevensons, two opposing London crime families who are embroiled in a battle that threatens to end in an all-out gang war. It's safe to say that chaos ensues through the series, with there being no shortage of twists and turns along the way.

Given that the first season's premiere broke records for Paramount+, we can't wait to see what will come next for the second instalment of the series, and thankfully on 23 June we received official confirmation that Mobland season 2 would be happening, as announced via the show and Paramount+'s Instagram accounts.

The caption for the announcement read: “They may have won the battle, but will they win the war? #MobLand will return for Season 2 on @paramountplus.”

We are forever thankful.

After all, the last episode of the first season of Paramount+'s runaway hit show left us on quite the cliffhanger, and beyond what comes next for Tom Hardy's character Harry Da Souza, there's a lot still to be unpacked.

Here's everything we know so far about the second season of the series, including what the team behind the show have revealed about plans so far.

Has MobLand season 2 been confirmed?

It has indeed!

When asked whether there would be a season 2 before the renewal was announced, producer David Glasser said “Yes, there will be,” before adding that “Everybody’s coming back... One big family.”

This was all notably prior to any official confirmation by Paramount. 👀

Further adding fuel to the fire, the show's lead Tom Hardy appeared fairly confident that we'd be seeing further MobLand series, with the actor explaining that there's much more of a story to be told. In a recent interview, he said, “The plan is definitely to see more seasons. The question is: Does it become international?”

He added, “There are international elements to organised crime, which are touched on in season one and the control of drugs and ammunition and weapons and people and all kinds of things that go through Europe and from Africa through to South America, Pakistan and the variable commodities that move around Europe. There are families that are involved in each European country that are vying for power to have that status to be able to move these kinds of commodities through and who police that and how that fits into a world stage.”

This all bodes very well for future seasons.

MobLand season 2 plot

As above, there's no shortage of loose ends that need tying up after that action-packed finale. Namely, will Harry make it out alive? (We're tentatively optimistic).

Who is set to step up among the Harrigans? What's up next for Conrad? Would a potential MobLand season 2 build out more of Seraphina's storyline?

Overall, there's no shortage of conflict that needs to be resolved in a potential second season, and as Tom Hardy says, there's plenty of scope to see MobLand season 2 go international, so it's all to play for right now.

When will MobLand season 2 come out?

The first season started production in November 2024 and wrapped March 2025 before premiering at the end of the same month, so if a potential MobLand season 2 were to follow a similar pattern then we could be blessed with a second season of the show as soon as 2026.
