The Love Island finale is officially upon us, and a new couple will soon have to decide whether to split or steal the £50,000 prize money. More importantly, they'll have to decide whether their newfound romances actually stand a chance in the outside world.
Your finalists are… currently favourites to win Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu & Davide Sanclimenti (odds are 1/1 from bookmakers Coral); Luca Bish & Gemma Owen; Andrew Le Page & Tasha Ghouri, who made things official just two weeks ago but now seem pretty rock-solid after a promising exchange between Tasha's dad and Andrew; and Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack.
Honestly, there's scope for any of these lovestruck couples to win out, but will we once again see their relationship trajectories follow previous traditions where the runner-ups have outlasted the winners in the romance stakes? Speaking of which, where are all the previous winners and runners up now?
Say no more. Ahead of tonight's finale, we're taking a look back at the most successful contestants of Love Islands past – and you'll be surprised where some of them have landed, including err, the Olympics?
Series 1: 2015
Winners: Jessica Hayes and Max Morley
After a month out of the villa, the first winners split.
Jessica is now engaged to mechanic Dan Lawry, and they had their first child together in 2019.
Meanwhile Max dated Charlotte Crosby for a while, then had an on-off romance with Laura Anderson (who you can read more about below).
Runners up: Hannah Elizabeth and Jon Clark
The OG runners up didn't stay together, but in 2020 rumours were going round that suggested people thought there could be the possibility of them reconnecting.
Since then its gone quiet, which says they probably didn't have the reunion we all wanted. Sigh.
Series 2: 2016
Winners: Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde
These two got married and had a baby boy called Freddie, making them one of the villa's most successful love stories. Last year they had a daughter called Delilah too.
Runners up: Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland
This couple live happily in Essex together with their dog Reggie. They've stayed strong sometimes work together on influencer campaigns.
It was a good year for romance on the series! The love has lasted.
Series 3: 2017
Winners: Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies
Kem and Amber didn't last after leaving the villa. Though they split the winner's money, their relationship didn't work in the real world.
Amber has gone on to work in theatre and Kem has set up his own restaurant (which the pandemic delayed).
He still works with Chris Hughes sometimes, who he had this Love Island bromance with – that was the real love story of the series. We're hoping Liberty and Kaz get their own spin-off show too – a great win for female friendship.
Runners up: Jamie Jewitt and Camilla Thurlow
Not only did Jamie and Camilla stay together, they've now had a baby girl called Nell! They then got married, so they're about as loved up as ex-Islanders come.

Series 4: 2018
Winners: Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer
Jack and Dani sadly split, and now Jack has a child and co-parents, while Dani shares a child with Sammy Kimmence, who is currently serving a three year prison sentence for five counts of fraud.
Runners up: Laura Anderson and Paul Knop
These two didn't stay together either – so it wasn't a successful year for love. Laura told OK! that they split due to not spending enough time together given their work and social lives.
Series 5: 2019
Winners: Greg O'Shea and Amber Gill
Greg and Amber sadly didn't last for long – in fact, there was a lot of drama. Greg dumped Amber via text, and he got a lot of hate for it (naturally).
Greg has now made it to the next Olympics and Amber has a new series about mental health coming up soon, so it looks like they're doing better apart.
Runners up: Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague
You'd be forgiven for thinking these two won, given that Molly-Mae is still cashing in on sponsorship deals as an influencer, speaking out on issues such as filler and mental health. Meanwhile Tommy has gone back to boxing.
They're still happily together and they're proof of the theory that runners up do better after the show.
Series 6: 2020
Winners: Paige Turley and Finn Tapp
Paige and Finn are still going strong. Still today they're being snapped looking happy and romantic together.
Paige has been working on releasing music, which the pandemic stalled a little, but it seems she's trying to build her career here.
The couple didn't get to enjoy their initial moment of fame due to lockdown coming in soon after, but they're still making the news gossip pages.
Runners up: Luke Trotman and Siânnise Fudge
Luke and Siânnise remained together throughout 2020 and 2021, evening buying a place together earlier in the pandemic in south west London. They also got a puppy together called Nala.
However they sadly went on to announce their split in late 2021.

Winners: Millie Court and Liam Reardon
There's good news and bad news on this front. On the plus side, Millie & Liam did stay together for a year – which is more than many previous winners and runner-ups can say (see above…). They split the £50,000 prize money they collected for winning the show, and moved in together to an Essex apartment worth £1 million last November. But, sadly, last month the couple announced they would be calling it a day after one year of dating.
In a statement shared to her Instagram Stories, Millie wrote: "Hi everyone, to avoid any speculation Liam and I wanted to share with you that we have separated. It's been a tough decision and I am gutted but it's ultimately what is best for us right now.
It will focus on those with “normal bodies”

“Thank you to every single one of you for supporting our relationship. Nothing will ever take away from the amazing experience we shared in Love Island and the past year and I wish Liam all the best in everything he does. We're both ready for new chapters and I'm excited for what's next. Love, Millie."
We call that a good run!
Runners up: Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran
Are Chloe & Toby still together and going strong? Apparently so, despite some tabloid rumours last April that the pair had been on-off. After coming runner-up in the show last year, they moved in together, and have recently been pictured holidaying together in Jamaica earlier this summer.
