Euphoria has been teasing us for years now. Season two arrived two years after the first and still managed to leave us gasping for air throughout, from that chaotic stage performance interrupted by Cassie, to Rue’s devastating relapse, and that jaw-dropping cliffhanger, the show did not go easy on us.
And now, four years later — yes, four — we finally have our claws in Euphoria season three. And just a few episodes in, it's already captured the cultural zeitgeist with outrageous storylines and some, let's say, provocative NSFW scenes. At the premiere, showrunner Sam Levinson revealed the delay between season two and three was partly due to the team “trying to figure out how to find a way to pay respect to those who we lost,” referring to the passing of actor Angus Cloud, who played Fezco.
The returning cast includes major names such as Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, and Alexa Demie — all of whom have skyrocketed to global fame since that first season. Sweeney recently starred in The Housemaid, and Zendaya has everyone talking with The Drama and the upcoming Dune 3.

What is Euphoria season 3 about?
We meet the characters five years after season two – and the first episode threw is right into the action. Rue is now in Mexico, deep in debt to Laurie, Cassie and Nate are living in the suburbs and actually getting married, Jules is at art school and doing her best to avoid responsibility, Maddy is working at a Hollywood talent agency, and Lexi has become an assistant to a showrunner played by Sharon Stone.

Rue has managed to ditch Laurie in lieu of working for a pimp, while Cassie is trying her hands at OnlyFans, reuniting with her high school frenemy Maddy who manages adult content creators as a side hustle. Meanwhile, Jules is funding her lavish lifestyle through sugar daddies and Nate is in serious debt. And we're only a few episodes in…
