Louis Theroux is turning his lens on one of the internet’s most controversial subcultures: the so-called “manosphere,” interviewing the likes of HSTikkyTokky, whose real name is Harrison Sullivan; Ed Matthews, and Myron Gaine.
Over the years, the acclaimed filmmaker has immersed himself in worlds spanning Scientology and swinging, the Westboro Baptist Church and survivalists in rural America — always with his signature calm curiosity. After months of speculation, Netflix has confirmed that a documentary exploring the online ecosystem of male influencers and grievance-driven communities is on the way, complete with a headline-grabbing trailer.
Among those featured is controversial influencer HSTikkyTokky, setting the stage for what promises to be a probing look at digital masculinity and its real-world consequences.
Here’s what we know so far about Theroux’s latest subject, Inside the Manosphere.

Who is HSTikkyTokky?
HSTikkyTokky — whose real name is Harrison Sullivan — currently has around 132,000 followers on TikTok. However, several of his accounts have reportedly been removed in the past, suggesting his cumulative reach may be significantly higher.
The British influencer has previously been dubbed a “pound shop Andrew Tate” and, in an earlier interview with a journalist, admitted to being “racist… a misogynist… homophobic.” He initially built a following through fitness content before pivoting to videos focused on wealth-building, including cryptocurrency trading — something he appears to discuss with Theroux in the documentary trailer.
The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), which oversees the financial services industry, has issued warnings regarding Sullivan’s activities. The regulator states: “This firm may be providing or promoting financial services or products without our permission. You should avoid dealing with this firm and beware of scams.
“Almost all firms and individuals must be authorised by us to carry out or promote financial services in the UK. This firm is not authorised by us and may be targeting people in the UK.” Glamour reached out to Harrison Sullivan for comment.
Sullivan is believed to split his time between Dubai and Marbella, Spain. Speculation that he would feature in Theroux’s latest project began in summer 2025, when he shared behind-the-scenes clips appearing to show the pair filming together.
Has HSTikkyTokky been arrested?
HSTikkyTokky has also been at the centre of multiple controversies, including inflammatory social media posts about women and a high-profile car crash involving a McLaren supercar. He has not responded to criticisms of his content about women.
It took a year for Sullivan to be extradited from Spain to the UK over charges relating to the crash, including failing to stop after an accident, driving while using a mobile phone and driving without third-party insurance.
Sullivan, who is from Brentwood, Essex, admitted to dangerous driving and driving without insurance and appeared in court. He was handed a one-year suspended custodial sentence, reports the BBC.
We'll be honest, it's a lot to watch.

What did HSTikkyTokky say about the arrest?
Following the crash, HSTikkyTokky addressed his followers in a video after his mugshot made headlines.
“The Matrix has officially declared war on me. Why? Because I refuse to play by their rules,” he said.
Referring to the March incident that ultimately resulted in a 12-month prison sentence (suspended for two years), a two-year driving ban and 300 hours of unpaid work, he added: “The so-called incident in March? It’s an excuse. A fabricated story to make me look guilty. To suppress me, to suppress the truth, and most importantly, to suppress you.”
Inside the Manosphere is now available on Netflix. Alongside Sullivan, the 90-minute documentary will also feature figures including Ed Matthews, Myron Gaines, Nicolas Kenn De Balinthazy (known online as Sneako), and Justin Waller.
