While we were excited for the Met Gala 2026 for a myriad of reasons – least not all the incredible outfits on the red carpet – we'd be lying if we said there wasn't a certain, diamond-hard reason for our curiosity: Zoë Kravitz and her newly obtained bling.
And yet, despite the news of her engagement to Harry Styles, The Batman actor was seen at this year's event without the former One Direction star. She also had her hand in her pocket, carefully concealing her ring finger (though a later snap of her revealed that she had foregone her engagement ring for the evening).

Who is the man with Zoë Kravitz at the 2026 Met Gala?
Don’t panic (or hope, depending on your perspective), our girlie hasn’t called off the engagement just yet. Zoë Kravitz arrived with Anthony Vaccarello, and the pair were photographed together on the steps of the Met.
So, who exactly is Anthony Vaccarello? He’s the creative director of Saint Laurent and also a co-chair of the 2026 Met Gala Host Committee, which explains his very front-row, very intentional presence on the night. Both he and Zoë are dressed in Saint Laurent, naturally, which makes their coordinated entrance feel less scandalous.
Zoë, meanwhile, delivered full spectacle in a black lace interpretation of the naked dress trend, leaning into a dramatic, almost period-inspired silhouette. It feels like she could step straight out of a painting… or onto a film set immediately after.
Why did Harry Styles not arrive with Zoë Kravitz at the Met Gala 2026?
It's likely that Harry was dressed by a different designer and will be arriving with other celebrities wearing the same. He and Zoe may be entering separately in order to give each other a carefully choreographed red carpet moment and not draw attention away from their impressive outfits.
We highly doubt he's one of the celebs not attending the 2026 Met Gala. And it's not like Zoë and Harry were the only couple avoiding their Met Gala red carpet debut (here's looking at you, Timmy and Kylie.)

Much to our dismay, Zoë entered keeping her left hand firmly in her pocket. Yep, it’s a see-through lace dress yet somehow we can’t spot that massive engagement ring on her finger. Talk about unfair.
When inside, Zoë removed her hand and was clearly spotted without the engagement ring. Once again, let's not jump to conclusions, as this may be a case of fitting a specific design for the evening or being unable to showcase another brand's jewellery. But it's confirmed: Zoë Kravitz is not wearing her engagement ring at the 2026 Met Gala, as you can see in this photo:
Their engagement was confirmed on 27 April by People, with an insider telling the publication that the couple shared the news with “a small circle.”
Naturally, we’ve been hoping the Met Gala would serve as their official couple “hard launch,” especially as they’re yet to make a formal public event appearance together.
