PSA: Gigi Hadid's Mango leather jacket is the celeb-inspired buy of the season. And it's on sale for Mango's Black Friday sale with every size currently in stock.

The reigning Queen of dressing of this kind? Gigi Hadid. I'd actually be inclined to say I prefer her off-duty looks to when she's, let's say, walking in the “Le Chouchou” Jacquemus Fall 2023 fashion show at the Versailles Gardens.
There was the time she famously donned a pair of leather trousers with flat black ankle boots, a printed, jersey polo neck and a high-street brown gilet (which sold out in a matter of days). Or when she arrived in New York City last month in cargo pants, a black knitted jumper and Adidas sneakers.
My most recent Gigi Hadid outfit obsession, though? The fact that the Mango oversized leather jacket, which the supermodel wore before the Miu Miu show in Paris on October 3 2023, is still in stock in every size and is discounted by £50 in the Mango Black Friday sale. And every editor I know is flocking to buy it.
Gigi Hadid wore the oversized leather jacket from Mango on her way to her runway gig for Miu Miu's new spring/summer collection – atop a cropped white t-shirt and black low-waist maxi skirt. The jacket, which is made from 100% bovine leather and part of the high-street stalwart's Selection Collection, has a shirt-style collar, two side pockets and front zip closure. It served cool dad vibes and comfort – while the tshirt's cropped silhouette served shape.
Sure, if you scroll through Mango's current on-site leather jacket offering, you'll be greeted by an abundance of epic outerwear. But Mango's worn-effect number – which could easily pass as vintage – really caught my attention. And Gigi's, apparently. Worn-effect jackets are timeless, too, which makes the £350 price tag feel worth it.
Gigi styled her look with a New Era baseball cap (also regularly worn by the likes of Kaia Gerber, Meghan Markle, Rihanna and Lucy Hale), 90s-style oval glasses, black ballet flats and a half-moon shoulder bag from Prada.
Gigi Hadid's outfit is a new edition of a tried and tested combination. The leather jacket, the white shirt and the maxi skirt have been the go-to casual outfit of models and celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow or Kate Moss since the nineties.
Case in point: Moss, who stepped out in an off-white tank top, grey maxi skirt and cropped leather jacket – and Paltrow's cropped leather blazer-atop-floor length skirt get-up.
With these three pieces, a successful outfit à la fashion professionals is guaranteed - never change a winning team.
