Celebrity Traitors 2025 has finally landed on UK screens, and we are hooked. Already a winning format, mix in this top-tier inaugural Celebrity Traitors line-up, and it's no wonder the show is so epic. Three episodes in, and a lot has already gone down.
The show began at 9 pm on 8 October and is now in the midst of its nine-episode run. The new series sees celebrities play the ultimate game of deception in an effort to secure a £100k prize for a charity of their choice.
“I think because of the way I dress, everyone thinks that I'm dark and spooky all the time."

On the Celebrity Traitors 2025 line-up entering Scotland's Ardross Castle, host Claudia Winkleman said: “We’re incredibly lucky these brilliant people have said yes. I’d love to say we’ll take it easy on them and they’ll just wander round the castle and eat toast for a couple of weeks, but that would be a lie.”
The cast was confirmed on 13 May by the BBC in the first tantalising teaser trailer for the series. You can see it for yourself below:
In the trailer, we see the all too familiar breakfast room of the castle in the dark as a grandfather clock ticks.
“Look at all those famous faces,” host Claudia Winkleman says in the voiceover as the camera pans to the wall of portraits. “Smiling, popular, talented, clever, respected, all hoping that we'll play nicely because they're celebrities. They couldn't be more wrong.”
The 2025 Celebrity Traitors cast features everyone from British legends such as Jonathon Ross and Charlotte Church to Tom Daley and Paloma Faith – and we certainly have our own thoughts on who would make decent Traitors and Faithfuls. Plus, we're all thinking it… what will Stephen Fry be?! Truly, this could all go a number of different ways.
Intrigued? Here's the full Celebrity Traitors line-up, along with updates on who has been murdered and banished.
Celebrity Traitors 2025 line-up
The full Celebrity Traitors 2025 line-up is as follows:
Now, let's get to know each of the contestants a little better…
Who are the Traitors?
Meet the Traitors! Claudia Winkleman selected her three Traitors in episode 1, and so far, they are still going strong.
- Jonathan Ross
- Cat Burns
- Alan Carr
Who has been murdered in Celebrity Traitors so far?
Poor Paloma Faithful didn't last long. In the second episode, she was the victim of a shocking betrayal at the hands of Traitor Alan — her BFF in the castle. He touched her face with the poisoned pollen, and the following day, she was unceremoniously dumped into a coffin and buried. It was Diane-levels of drama — and it was only two episodes in.
Another utter tragedy. We are starting to get a little annoyed at the Traitors for killing off all of our favourite players. Lovely, knit-clad Tom Daley was cruelly murdered in the third episode by the Traitors, who saw him as a “threat.”
“It was so sad when I saw the letter on the chair, and I instantly knew I’d been murdered. Because we haven’t found a Traitor yet, I thought there’s no way it can be a recruitment," Tom said later. “I was first sad and then very confused about what The Traitors are doing because I clearly would be someone who would get banished at the Round Table. If any of the Traitors just planted that seed at the Round Table, I’m sure I would be banished."
And more importantly can you stay there?

Who has been banished in Celebrity Traitors so far?
In episode 3, the team voted to banish Niko Omilana from the castle. It's hardly too surprising, considering his entire career is built on tricking people. Tragically, however, he was a Faithful, and the three Traitors remained strong.
The third episode was a jam-packed one and saw not one but two players banished. At the end of the episode, Tameka Empson was voted out after people began to suspect her. “It’s been a roller coaster. It was an amazing experience. I loved every minute of it. I wish it was longer," she later said.
Below the full cast of Celebrity Traitors:
Alan Carr
TV host Alan Carr was first confirmed to be joining Celebrity Traitors UK back in November, with the 48-year-old Chatty Man host sure to deliver on the one-liners and general vibes in the Scottish Highlands.
Speaking on his Life's A Beach podcast, he didn't reveal any details about his outcome on the show, but did share that he had no contact with the outside world, just like the show's other contestants. “It was like rehab. It’s cheaper than rehab. They took my phone away. They took my laptop,” he said.
Clare Balding
Our girl Clare Balding, 54, will also be appearing in the UK's answer to Celebrity Traitors, with rumours of her inclusion in the Traitors cast line-up first beginning to swirl back in October. The show will be Balding's first reality TV show!
Like the rest of the cast, she's kept pretty schtum about it – but did share on This Morning that the experience was “intense”. “It will be really good telly, I can promise you that!” she added.
Jonathan Ross
Some things just make sense, and one of those things is Jonathon Ross appearing on The Traitors UK. The beloved 64-year-old talk show host was first said to be in talks to join the show in July 2024, so it's been a long time coming and will notably mark the broadcaster's return to the BBC after 14 years.
Will he be a traitor? Lots of fans are speculating…
Paloma Faith
Rumours of the 43-year-old pop princess joining the Celebrity Traitors UK cast first cropped up in October. Maybe Paloma Faith won't feel like Only Love Can Hurt Like This after she dips her toe into the treacherous realm of backstabbing that comes as part of appearing on this series.
But the singer has admitted that she's great at reading people, which may actually come at a disadvantage. “I'm exceptional at reading people, and I'm worried that I'll get voted off or murdered, because they'll see that in me,” she said. “I need to keep it under the radar about how good at it I am. I'm at the point in my life where people don't even want to introduce me to their new boyfriend because they're worried I'll say I don't get good vibes from him!”
The singer, author, and actress on finding her power as a woman in the music industry.

Stephen Fry
National treasure Stephen Fry needs no introduction, with the 67-year-old British actor, broadcaster, comedian and everything in between apparently being an avid fan of the show who “jumped at the chance to appear” on the series.
Will he be a Traitor or a Faithful? Well, Stephen himself has stated his desire to be a Faithful.
“I just don't like the idea of having to plot against people,” he said. “It's mean and it's annoying to have to find that side of oneself, because in order to play well, you have to be a bit mean. You have to decide to kill people. Really annoying. You're conspiring with others to do it, and you can't trust them either. So, you're just under much more pressure. You can see from the previous series that being a Traitor is really quite stressful.”
Nick Mohammed
Ted Lasso's 44-year-old Nick Mohammed will also be joining The Traitors UK, and we can't wait to watch it. Will Nick take on the same evil streak as his character from the hit Apple TV+ show? We'll have to wait and see. Nick is also a brilliant comedian, so he could definitely bring some fun to the castle, too.
“I decided to take part because I absolutely adore the show, and always have done,” he says. “This is the first thing I've ever done as myself. I did Taskmaster, which was sort of as me, but even that, I decided to dress as Dracula because I wanted to hide behind something. Because I like to act, often in character, I tend not to do as much as myself to sort of preserve an element of mystery, I guess. But there was no way I was going to give up an opportunity like this! I've always loved games like this and to hang out with such a wonderful, fascinating bunch too - what a privilege.”
Tom Daley
Olympian Tom Daley might seem like the ultimate Faithful, but is this exactly why he'd be the best type of Traitor on the show? We can't wait to see how the 30-year-old diver makes a splash on the new series.
He wouldn't say much about the show during a 2025 interview with Magic Radio, but did share that Claudia's outfits are “iconic”, which is to be expected.
The star-studded crime thriller, starring Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan, is officially returning.

Charlotte Church
This series of The Traitors will see Welsh singer-songwriter and actor Charlotte Church coming back into the spotlight.
Fellow contestant Kate Garraway has already shared that Charlotte was particularly impressive in the show's mission tasks, saying: “Charlotte was extraordinary in those missions. She was amazing, really amazing.”
“I think because of the way I dress, everyone thinks that I'm dark and spooky all the time."

Kate Garraway
Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway also joins this year's Celebrity Traitors UK cast. While she's no stranger to celebrity contest shows, having appeared in the 2008 series of Strictly Come Dancing, we reckon this was a pretty unique experience.
Poignantly, Kate has shared that being on the show allowed her time to process her grief after the death of her husband, Derek Draper. She told Fabulous magazine: “I’m a massive fan of the show, and I thought being completely cut off would be amazing – and it was. It was extraordinary because you were completely engaged in the game.
“You couldn’t think about anything else, as you didn’t have your phone or access to the internet. You couldn’t even watch TV, which was strange for a news junkie like me… You were cared for by the team. But it was the first time I wasn’t having to think: ‘Oh, I must pay this bill.’ I was able to be in my own head, and it did allow quite a lot of grief to come out.”
Cat Burns
Best known for her song Go, British singer Cat Burns is apparently a massive Traitors fan, with the 24-year-old having previously taken to TikTok to talk about her love for the series. Clearly, she'll be well-versed in all the techniques to go the distance in the celebrity edition of the show.
We. Cannot. Wait.
Celia Imrie
Beloved British actor Celia Imrie is sure to put her acting skills to good use in the Celebrity Traitors castle. The 72-year-old has roles in everything from Calendar Girls to Bridget Jones and everything in between, and we have no doubt she'd make a fabulous Traitor or Faithful.
“The thing is, I don't really mind, but if Claudia's hand goes on my shoulder, I'll be ecstatic with excitement. However, I do think it's quite a hard job,” she has said of the possibility of being chosen as a Traitor. Interesting…
Tameka Empson
Kim Fox, that you? 48-year-old Eastenders star Tameka Empson is also part of the 2025 Celebrity Traitors line-up. How will her acting skills fare in the series? We'll have to wait and see.
Like many of the other stars, Tameka has described her experience on the show as “intense,” adding: “It was great, really great, but it was a lot.”
Joe Marler
Rugby pro Joe Marler was recently announced to be joining the Celebrity Traitors UK cast, with the 34-year-old supposedly being keen to show he's more than *just* a three-time winner of the Six Nations.
David Olusoga
55-year-old David Olusoga is a British historian and 2023 BAFTA-winning filmmaker. Having written several best-selling books, David was also awarded an OBE back in 2019 for his services to history and community integration.
With all that intellect, there's no doubt he's going to make a great contestant.
Joe Wilkinson
49-year-old comedian Joe Wilkinson supported fellow Celebrity Traitors cast member Alan Carr on tour, so we're intrigued to see how this history plays out on screen! A regular on 8 Out of 10 Cats and Countdown, we can't decide whether we see Joe as more of a Faithful or Traitor.
And if you saw Joe on Amazon Prime Video's brilliant Last One Laughing, you'll know we could be in for some hilarious moments. Or will he be able to keep his poker face?
Mark Bonnar
Best known to many as DCC Mike Dryden in Line of Duty and Max in Guilt , 56-year-old Mark Bonnar is a Scottish actor who joins the UK Celebrity Traitors cast.
Speaking to The Times, he said being on the show was a “mad” experience, particularly being part of such a star-studded cast.
“It’s so intense — you have no phone, so all you think about is the show. The line-up was pretty starry. Stephen Fry has been omnipresent in my life — I watched Blackadder growing up — and I loved chatting to Jonathan Ross about Nirvana. It’s mad being in a Traitors WhatsApp group with them all.”
Lucy Beaumont
A relatively new addition to the Celebrity Traitors line-up, 41-year-old comedian Lucy Beaumont previously presented Channel 4’s Jon & Lucy’s Odd Couples alongside her former partner Jon Richardson, as well as having won the BBC Radio New Comedy Awards back in 2011.
As for whether she'd prefer to be a Faithful or a Traitor? “I don’t mind which,” she told the BBC. “I think there's a bit less pressure with being a Faithful, but then it'd be hard if people suspected you were a Traitor. If you are a Traitor, you can't really blame anyone for pointing the finger at you. All things considered, if I had to pick, I'd rather be a Traitor. I think it's more interesting. But I’d probably not be a very good one.”
Niko Omilana
YouTuber and influencer Niko Omilana will be no stranger to younger fans. One part of the group Beta Squad, 27-year-old Niko is best known for his prank videos, though he also ran as an independent candidate in the 2021 London mayoral election and 2024 UK general election, so Celebrity Traitors is definitely as good a time as any to get to know him.
Ruth Codd
An Irish actor best known for her role as Anya in Netflix's The Midnight Club, 28-year-old Ruth Codd will also be appearing in Celebrity Traitors UK. Ruth often uses her platform to raise awareness for people with disabilities, particularly amputees, after having her leg amputated below the knee at age 23 due to complications from a childhood foot injury.
Sharing a funny post on Instagram ahead of the show's airing, she joked, “Who allowed this?” about her casting on Celebrity Traitors.
And more importantly can you stay there?
