25 best summer wedding guest dresses for 2026

Every year, twice a year, I conduct a photoshoot where myself and a handful of other editors at Glamour test out the best summer wedding guest dresses and give our verdicts on our favourite ones in a bid to save you from an endless trawl on the internet. We'll take to the streets of London, styling each frock up to exactly how we'd wear it for someone's wedding, to demonstrate how the fabric moves and looks in genuine, unedited video clips and photos.

My next shoot is scheduled for the end of April, so while I haven't tested the dresses included in this round-up just yet – I'm about to. Stay tuned for our thoughts, and read more about how we test here in the meantime.

I've worked in the fashion industry for eight years now, attending everything from press days to runways during Fashion Week, witnessing new collections before they hit the market – so I know what's worth investing in (and what's not).

As mentioned, I've got a handful of nuptials to RSVP to this year, so with that in mind I've been compiling a list of dresses from my favourite high-street brands to some of the top designer labels. I've sourced them via the best online clothing stores as well as the best rental sites, taking things like colour variety, size range, material and price into consideration. When we get round to testing the styles I've shortlisted, I'll make sure a variety of sizes, shapes and heights are included so you can see each dress on a few different bodies.
