Rihanna's latest Savage x Fenty drop is opulent AF (and perfect for the festive season)

Fresh from releasing the much-anticipated Savage X Fenty Volume 3 on Amazon Prime, Rihanna has just dropped her latest collection, the ‘Tattooed Tricot Collection’, for her inclusive lingerie brand. And – unsurprisingly – it's really good. 

Thanks to November bringing with it a distinct drop in temperature, we're wrapping up warm and going hard on the extra layers. But that's doesn't mean we can't wear something a little more exciting underneath; That way when we're getting undressed in the evening, it's almost like unwrapping a present? Just a thought. 

If there's one thing we love about Savage x Fenty, it's that it caters to people of all gender identities, sexualities, and body shapes. Back in June earlier this year, the brand released their first ever Pride collection, which incorporated glam rainbow motifs and models from the LGBTQIA community. The following month, Savage x Fenty released an “all curvy” collection, which was modelled by The Caramel Curves: a biker group consisting of black women who live in New Orleans.

The latest Savage x Fenty drop is just as exciting, exploring the art of expression through ink. In collaboration with multi-medium artist, Manuela Soto Sosa, the Tattooed Tricot Collection is the Savage X nod to Manuela's signature “Soto Girl” tattoo designs.

In an interview with Paper, Manuela explained the significance of her Soto Girl designs, saying, “Throughout my years as a tattoo artist, I have been using the Soto girls to create self-portraits as a way to visualize inner power and have a reminder of who we are/want to be when times get hard.”

She added that working with Savage x Fenty was a “dream come true,” saying, “Rihanna is such a role model for me because I always felt she lets her intuition guide her without taking people's opinions into account and that's why she always wins! Her creative explorations, her business mindset...she's the most powerful woman of our generation and I'm so incredibly grateful to be working with her [brand].”
