Rixo just dropped a 100% recycled swimwear line, and we predict you're going to see it all over the 'gram this summer
Rixo is one of thosebrands that fashion editors and influencers alike love and are loyal to. Their latest collection – a sustainable swimwear line – is evidence of why. The 11 piece range is made of 100% recycled materials, which is a first for the luxury fashion house.

Two years ago they released swimwear for the first time to huge success, but with this collection they've clearly gone back to the drawing board to consider how the pieces can be more environmentally conscious. It gets a big seal of approval from us.
The key material here is Q-Nova, a sustainable nylon fibre obtained from regenerated raw materials that would have otherwise been waste products, and the brand say this is a "progression into a more sustainable future." Basically, expect more innovation from Rixo that reduces the impact their garments have on the environment. The founders shared that they also cut down on their supply chain in order to minimise the excess that comes from mass production, plus the creation process also doesn't make use of chemicals that could further damage the environment.
Designs of the bikinis and costumes are inspired by vintage Italian shapes and cuts, and the colour palette is a made up of a summery mix of muted greens, corals and lilacs. These aren't styles that'll go out of fashion come next year.
Speaking on the nautical and sea-themed prints, Rixo say: "Traditional swimwear cuts and silhouettes have been updated with the brands synonymous prints; Mermaid Patchwork, Pearl Shell and Sea Life – each inspired by an antique wallpaper strip that the designers have treasured for many years."
Could it get any more covetable?
If you're familiar with the brand's styles, you can expect the pieces to come available in: Rita, Trya, Alice, Jenny, Jane and Kristen.
Ranging from a size 6 to 16, bikinis and swimsuits are already selling out.
Prices for the collection go from £125 to £155 (though pieces from matching sets can be bought separately and are therefore cheaper). While higher end, you know you're getting luxe quality alongside better eco credentials than most.
