Sunday night saw the Oscars 2026 close out this year's awards season, and while the ‘will he, won’t he?’ surrounding Timothée Chalamet's nomination post-ballet gate (spoiler: he didn't) and the excitement for Irish star Jessie Buckley's Best Actress nomination captured attention in the lead-up, we'd be lying if we said it wasn't the red carpet looks that we were really staying up late to see.
The Academy Awards has always brought the glamour, but the Oscars 2026 red carpet feels especially noteworthy. After all, this is a night for the industry's shiniest stars to show up and out in the hottest haute couture - and there's no denying that they did exactly that.
One Battle After Another swept this year's Academy Awards.
Last year, the Oscars red carpet was full of romance - lots of delicate beading, rich tones, and silk. And so much ballerina pink! Miley Cyrus brought the drama all the way to her fingertips with little gloves, while Halle Berry shined bright like a mirror ball.
The theme of the Oscars 2026 red carpet? All about the fit. Some of the best looks of the night featured a dramatic silhouette, from Misty Copeland's exaggerated shoulders to the voluminous mermaid skirt on Rose Byrne's ballgown. Even the most minimalist looks were expertly tailored to fit like a glove. And we love the subtle flare on Hudson Williams' tux pants—just enough to be interesting without distracting from the overall effect.

Another big trend on the Oscars 2026 red carpet? Feathers! Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Demi Moore, and Teyana Taylor were just a few celebrities who embraced a feathered look.
Elsewhere Emma Stone's custom shimmering Louis Vuitton look with delicately capped sleeves was a real highlight, while our coverstar Wunmi Mosaku - also in custom Vuitton - brought the sparkle and then some in what was one of our favourite looks of the night.
