Kate Middleton just confirmed that Massimo Dutti is definitely autumn's hottest high street brand
Nothing quite gives us more fashion satisfaction than when Kate Middleton shows her love for the high street by stepping out in one of our favourite labels.
Meeting students at the University of Derby this week, Kate wore a long chequered, wool coat (£249.00) and a pastel blue cable-knit cashmere sweater (£129), both from Massimo Dutti and both, unsurprisingly, already sold out.
It’s not the first time Kate has turned to Zara’s luxury sister brand for some chic outerwear. Back in January, you might recall a seriously drool-worthy £349 double-breasted camel coat that she wore with a Zara leopard-printed skirt.

While Zara tends to steal more of the limelight, Massimo Dutti is definitely the surprisingly under-the-radar brand when it comes to elegant, easy-wearing wardrobe classics.
The brand was founded in 1985 and is owned by the Spanish group Inditex, which also includes brands Bershka and Pull & Bear.
It’s not just Kate who turns to the label for its stunning knitwear, designer-inspired coats and separates, Meghan Markle too appeared in several pieces before she stepped down as a senior royal - from a camel coat to that chocolatey satin midi skirt that sold out within minutes.

The great thing about Massimo Dutti is that its pieces hit the perfect mark between high street and designer, the cuts look expensive and the collection is never too trend-driven. There’s a real timeless feel to their pieces - the coats, for instance, come in classic shapes and shades, never too fitted or too oversized. And they’re made in high-quality, long-lasting wool. Then there’s the 100% cashmere jumpers, in the caramely, buttery autumnal shades we all want RN, all priced well under £200 - which, for such a typically expensive fabric, is worth the investment.
There’s slouchy leather boots too, cute blouses and snuggly knitted dresses galore. Without further adieu, here are 9 of our top pieces from Massimo Dutti that we’re sure Kate Middleton would agree are worth stocking up on as winter hits.
