With health and wellness rituals an increasingly important part of our daily routine and self-care, you’ll want to be clued up on the Glamour Wellness Power List Awards 2022. It’s where we reveal the brands and products that help make you feel calmer, happier, healthier and better-rested.
Every winner is determined by your votes, but to narrow down the vast world of wellness innovation, we rely on the insight of 16 experts who live, breathe and cheerlead good health. Each member of our panel is a specialist within the industry, making them a trusted authority in that field – be it fitness, medicine, sleep, mental health, nutrition, dental health or sexual wellness.
The inspiring names working with us? The internet’s favourite voice on sex, Oloni, shares products that inspire her own sexual positivity and wellbeing. There’s GP and registered nutritionist Dr Hazel Wallace – aka The Food Medic – whose science-backed expertise is our go-to, alongside half a million other people on Instagram. We bring fitness insight from an Olympic medallist Patricia Mamona, as well as celebrity PT Aimee Victoria Long. While mental health nominations are guided by best-selling author and millennial-savvy psychologist Dr Soph, and body-positive activist Michelle Elman of @scarrednotscared.
Dr Hazel Wallace
A medical doctor and a registered associate nutritionist, you’ll likely know Dr Hazel Wallace BSc MSc from her hugely popular educational health platform, The Food Medic. Through her website, podcast and Instagram – which has 545K followers – Dr Hazel shares recipe ideas, beginner-friendly workout tips, and study-backed insights on nutrition, female-focused health, and the truth behind trends. @thefoodmedic
Oloni
An award-winning sex and relationships expert, Oloni – real name Dami Olonisakin – is a conversation-leader on sex, sexuality and consent. She cheerleads women to have sex the way they want to, and her frankness has amassed a cult following on Instagram, plus an expert role on Netflix’s <Sex: Unzipped>. She hosts the Laid Bare podcast and is Twitter-famous for threads that give women a safe space to discuss sexual wellness. @oloni
Michelle Elman
A five-board-accredited life coach, Michelle is the go-to voice on learning how to set boundaries and stick to them. Best known for her powerful campaign, ‘Scarred Not Scared’ – also the name of her 194K-followed Instagram account – Michelle delivers honesty with a huge dose of compassion. Ramsey CardyPatrícia Mamona
An Olympic silver medallist, triple jumper Patrícia has practiced the sport for 20 years. In 2021, she won triple-jump gold for Portugal at the European Indoor Championships only four weeks after recovering from COVID-19. At the recent Tokyo Olympics, she won silver – her jump of 15.01m set a national record and made her one of only 10 women to break the “mythical” 15m barrier. Dr Sophie Mort
A clinical psychologist, Dr Sophie Mort – aka Dr Soph – is working to overcome the barriers that exist in mental health. She wants psychology to be accessible and easy to understand for all, whoever and wherever you are, and regularly shares relatable videos on Instagram on topics such as negative self-talk, social anxiety and how to recover from flashing a boob at dinner. Dr Soph’s debut book, <A Manual for Being Human>, is a <The Sunday Times> bestseller.
Dr Bella Smith
With over 20 years’ experience as an NHS GP, practice partner Dr Bella Smith is a women’s health advocate and an ambassador for The Eve Appeal. Under her moniker ‘The Digital GP’, Dr Bella’s expertise includes the menstrual cycle, conception and pregnancy. A celebrity personal trainer, Pilates instructor and barre specialist, Aimee Victoria Long is one of the leading names in the UK fitness industry. Dr Karen Gurney
A clinical psychologist and psychosexologist, Dr Karen is on a mission to debunk misconceptions that could harm our sex lives. She has spoken about female desire at TEDx, amassed more than 50K followers on Instagram, and wrote her first book, <Mind The Gap: The Truth About Desire and How to Futureproof Your Sex Life> in 2020. Chloe Brotheridge

Dr Uchenna Okoye
A celebrity dentist, Dr Uchenna is the resident dental health expert on Channel 5 show <10 Years Younger in 10 Days>. An immunology lecturer at the University of Sussex, Dr Jenna has over 20 years’ experience researching the impact of diet and modern lifestyle on the immune system.
