From metallic slip dresses to chic trouser suits, see what the GLAMOUR team wore to this year's GLAMOUR Awards...

After failing to organise my dress ahead of time this year, I did a last minute dash to Topshop (it never disappoints) and went for this metallic slinky number that makes me feel like I’m rocking the glamour of 80s TV show Dallas. My hair was styled by the fabulous Sam from Headmasters who convinced me a vertical roll would suit the dress to perfection.

For my first ever GLAMOUR Awards, I decided on this silky mini-dress with a cute star print by French brand Réalisation Par that I've been stalking on Instagram for a while. I'm wearing it with simple strappy black heels from New Look and a Topshop clutch. For my beauty look the superstars at Bobbi Brown gave me a subtle black smokey eye with a pared-down lip.

A co-ord is my failsafe outfit and the subtle floral print of this Topshop one lifts the look for evening wear. I teamed my shorts suit with sandals from H&M and a Chanel bag. To complete my look I definitely needed some awesome accessories so I raided Accessorize's Z range for subtle gold jewellery that had some bling. A little bit of glitz is very important for the GLAMOUR Awards.
I loved my hair, makeup and nails as well; ghd, Bobbi Brown and Nails Inc. certainly got us all party-ready.

I’ve love designer Steven Tai’s SS16 collection, it’s a unique twist on girliness with a modern edge. The colours in the top and skirt I wore are pretty and I teamed it with a blouse from SANDRO underneath as I loved the shape of the sleeves.
I accessorised my outfit with a see-through clutch from & Other Stories, and wore my favourite black brogues with gold chain trim from Topshop Unique.
For my beauty look, I had my hair in two fishtail plaits that wrapped around my head as I wanted to show off the collar of the dress, and a classic winged eye with soft pink lip.

I bought this Victoria by Victoria Beckham dress to wear to a previous GLAMOUR awards...and promptly got pregnant and lost the waistline required to wear it. So it’s having its maiden outing tonight. VB is very good at demure-but-sexy - and I love the pleating and mesh detail. I’ve kept the accessories simple: black, minimal sandals by Jimmy Choo (which I may swap for sparkly flats later this evening. Just saying.) and my favourite sparkly Anya Hindmarch Valerie clutch (small enough to look sleek; big enough to actually hold things; sparkly enough to dress up the simplest outfit). I didn’t want to look too formal, so I love the undone-done-beachy waves courtesy of GHD (aka the hair I always want to give myself at home, but seem to end up with Shirley Temple ringlets…)

I look a bit like I’m wearing a dress but it’s actually a top and culottes both from H&M. The top is in store now but the trousers I’ve had for years. I did think about wearing something a bit more summery but decided to keep it simple in black. After all, you can’t really go wrong with it for evening wear, can you?

I really wanted to buy something new (trust me, I tried) but disappointingly I couldn’t find anything. I had these cream flared trousers and black, silk one-shoulder top in my wardrobe already and thought they were a classically chic combination.

I’m wearing a prim tuxedo-inspired mini dress by Valentino from Matches. I love its slightly Amish vibe, its flattering silhouette and it’s genius design detail…. pockets! I am vamping it up a bit with mega-high velvet platform sandals from Jimmy Choo, a smokey eye from Bobbi Brown, beach waves and dark Nails Inc. nails. I’m pretty sure the heels are going to hurt but I am a trooper!

My dress is Ralph Lauren – I feel amazing in it! – and my shoes are Jimmy Choo. I went to my trusty hair stylist, Jordan Garrett of Hershesons who always gives me the perfect undone waves. They are curly enough to last all night but the ends are kept straight to give it a cool-girl effect. I had my make-up done by Fabio at Charlotte Tilbury and I went for the Dolce Vita look that consists of a golden smokey eye, nude lips and is finished with super contoured and highlighted skin. It’s my dream make up.

I am optimistically channelling Patti Smith in a Racil suit and white silk shirt from Mango. I love trouser suits - they allow you to move and are still dressy enough for a red carpet event. I¹m pairing my suit with a pair of classic courts from Kurt Geiger. For my beauty look, I've gone for messy waves and a smokey eye to make the look feel more evening-y.

This year, I was on the lookout for a long-sleeved embellished midi and fell for this one from ASOS. I’ve accessorised it with metallic strappy heels (also from ASOS), a House of Fraser box clutch and earrings from Accessorize. For my hair and make-up, I wanted a retro-ish look of pillar-box nails, dreamy waves, a feline flick on the eyes and a strong red lip.

Aaahh the clothing dilemmas! Deciding what to wear for the Glamour Awards is always a challenging task, however this year I decided to make my life easier by wearing something I already had hiding in my wardrobe. I opted for this navy blue velvet dress from Millie Macintosh’s collection which features a really lovely lace detail over the shoulders, adding a touch of glam! My prep started with a spray tan by the legendary James Read topped off with an amazing makeover from the talented teams at Bobbi Brown, ghd and Nails Inc.

I’m going to party the night away in this dress from &Other Stories. I’d bought it in maroon for a wedding and loved the fit so much I went back and got it in black too. It’s quite simple, so I’ve glammed things up with some retro-style embellished earrings from Accessorize. The talented make-up artists at Bobbi Brown added the perfect feline flick, and ghd gave me a gorgeous up-do to finish off the look.

So this year I decided to go monochrome which seemed to be a bit of a trend on this year’s GLAMOUR Women of The Year red carpet. I opted for a white ASOS blazer which I customised by changing all the buttons, black asos tuxedo trousers, Cos ribbed top, and shoes by Adieu. I was aiming for a nod to Cannes Riviera chic although I’m concerned I looked more like I belong on the end of a gondola!

I’m properly obsessed with Long Tall Sally’s brilliant collaboration with Ruby Rocks. I wore it at my engagement party, and the minute this midi-dress landed in their new High Summer range, I had to get my claws on it. As I’m running around tweeting for GLAMOUR all evening, I’ve teamed it with LTS’s totally jog-able-in Vegas heels. For beauty, I’ve gone for 1930s waves (thanks ghd), and an orange-red lip by Bobbi Brown to highlight the dress. I’ve also pepped-up my polar bear skin with a tan by the fabulous James Read, and finished off the look with my beloved Therapy bag to cart around my battery pack and extra phone.

I chose this cute dress from Coast because I’m a sucker for monochrome and anything ’50s-style. It’s quite a departure for me, as I usually go for more fitted shapes. But with my trusty Lady Danger lipstick (and the shoes from my wedding!) I still felt like me.

I’m wearing a Zara dress I bought in Amsterdam, paired with some gorgeous Jimmy Choo shoes. I know I will wear this again during my holiday and even at work with flats, so it was the perfect purchase. For my makeup, I am rocking a dark berry lip with a subtle smoky eye. Thank you so much to the ghd crew for giving me a perfect Scandi wave for the night!
